$4, the noodles are silky smooth and slightly firm (the way I love it), but by end of the meal have softened slightly. the soup is extremely tasty. it's sweet and full of the tomato flavour, and is rich enough that it coats the noodles even as you eat the noodles dry on its own (vs in a spoon of soup). the egg is also fried separately such that it retains its fried and slightly wok hei taste, which differs from your typical ban mian egg which is more like an egg drop soup style of egg.

From Beancurdlism $1.20 for this awesome cup of soya bean drink.
Not bad.

A curry-centric stall situated with the Muslim stalls whose name I've forgotten. Looks a lot worse than its photo, like something homecooked. Fortunately, there's a chicken drumstick hidden below.

Quite eggy and the top is extra crispy! (If you don’t like it crisp just let them know) Kueh was soft, quite liked this except it was a little too salty when I had it and no caipoh😂. Chili is shiooook.

Happy birthday SG - and one of my favourite part of it is our hawker food, and the tireless hawkers behind them 💛

I got this generous bowl of lor mee for just $2.50 near Parkway Parade, and it comes with a perfectly crisp fried fish, slices of lor bak, egg, fishcake and... very earthy lor mee sauce.

I'm usually very particular about lor mee, and this just checks all the right boxes. It gives a good kick with the vinegar and garlic.

And of course, what makes this stall the most memorable to me is....how the owners simply tell me that its alright i forgot my wallet, and to pay after the meal and that I should enjoy my piping hot bowl of lor mee first (came back afterwards). This trust right here - i'm so thankful.

Also ft H's char kuey teow thats a unique rendition in satay sauce - not the black one we expected but i guess still quite shiok

Apollo CKT is probably 1 of the iconic stall there, with their signature wet CKT. Still very flavourful though the Wok Hei didn’t taste as distinct as before, and not everyone may like this version.
老娘 Wanton Mee sounded good and it certainly had potential, with the thicker bouncy noodles and fiery chilli. But the lady probably exerted too much of her prowess with her salty soy sauce.
The Hollywood Chendol looked attractive and it was refreshing, just wished the Gula Melaka was more pronounced for the taste to pop.
Not our favourite Putu Piring so far, but the brown cake from the same stall was the dark horse instead. Light and fluffy, it was tasty with an aromatic caramel-like taste.
Nevertheless, we liked that the FC looked so clean and was so well-ventilated and cooling (many powerful fans!), making makan at FC such a pleasant experience again.
