Most people working in the area will know this hidden jem, and this is one really good find indeed. The Sliced Fish Soup ($4.50) is quite different from the rest, as the soup is so much more flavourful than the rest, probably due to the deep fried omelette that is added to the soup. The fish slices given were very fresh as well. Do get the fermented beans at the side for that umami kick!

The soup is so light and sweet even without the condensed milk! I am not kidding! Not too sure how they have done it but is soooo amazing! The sliced fish is really fresh, which is a bonus to the super light and sweet soup. Second bonus point goes to the deep fried egg crumbs that is complimentary.

The wait time: 30mins! (From ordering to food collection)

The queues here are always super long even as early as 1130am+. Waited for about 20mins when I was the 30+ customers for the lunchtime crowd. I find it interesting that they charge more for their fresh sliced fish compared to their fried fish (most other places charge the same for fresh or fried). Also, they have predetermined whether your soup will have milk. Fresh fish slice soup doesn't come with milk while fried fish soup comes with milk. But overall, still a satisfying meal for only $4! #burpple #burpplesg #marsilingteochewfishsoup #food #foodiesg #sgfoodie #whati8today #8dayseat #vscofoodie #iweeklyfood #foodporn #foodstagram #vscofood #foodphotography #sgmakan #sgmakandiary #sgfoodstagram #singaporeeats #exploresingaporeeats #exploresg #whatsgoodhere #foodtrails #sgfoodies #sgeats
