I’m mad for the martinis here.
Thanks to resident Mix Master Rosanna, I learned that all the fruit juices used in the drinks at the Martini Bar, come directly from a fruit, not a box. What a difference that makes to how they taste!
Be sure to order the Signature Apple Martini because other than being really strong, it has the unexpected ingredient of truffle paste which works incredibly well with the green apple. You need to try it to believe it.
The other concoction that I would order in multiples without hesitation is the Coconut Martini. Made with fresh coconut water, it is light and wonderfully clean-tasting.
I was also told the Cucumber is one of their bestsellers, and spotted a Soursop Martini being made and swooped away. Am so tempted to give those a go the next time.

TGIF. Extremely crowded on a Friday night compared to the time where I went on a Monday night. Could be better with more fruits and another alcohol rather than just vodka.

In addition to its wide variety of alcohol options, the Martini Bar also serves bar snacks, straight out from the mezza9 kitchen and you’ve got to try the Crispy Blue Swimmer Crab Cakes. Though it might seem a little pricey at $6 for a piece but trust me that it’s definitely well worth every single dollar you paid for it. With just a thin batter coating, the inside is packed fully with blue swimmer crab meat that no one will complain after the first bite. Other bites that you can consider ordering includes the Thai Style Chicken Wings ($12) with that killer lime and chilli dip and the Truffled Camembert de Normandie ($20) served with figs and rye bread, the latter wiped clean by @acamasteo.

What better way to spend the night and beyond than at the newly renovated Martini Bar at the Grand Hyatt, with a revamped food menu, straight out of Mezza 9’s kitchen, and wide selection of beers, spirits and whiskeys (sourced from all over the world) that’s sure to cater to each different palate.

Renowned for their martinis and with concoctions such as the Lollipop ($18+), Martini Bar aims to create a new experience of enjoying drinks through its unique combinations and adding a playful touch to it. Coupled with the newly furnished setting, it creates a comfortable but yet elegant environment to sip your martinis like a Bond girl (or James Bond for the guys).

What might seemingly looks harmless, the Lollipop Martini is a drink that you shouldn’t judge a book (or glass) by its cover. With the right mix of vodka, peach liqueur, lemon juice and blue caracao, it gave birth to the Lollipop Martini with the playful addition of a rainbow lollipop. Refreshing to the palate but yet packs an alcoholic punch.
