Throwback. A strange endeavour, pairing chocolate shell with coconut and nata de coco filling. I found it edible.
I don't remember McDonald's messes with its Filet-O-Fish, but this worked. Especially given the unorthodox but delicious sauce. On a side note, it's also quirky to see lettuce in Filet-O-Fish.
It's back and only this time I realised the absurdity of its name. Nasi but no rice. What's better was the more "Malay" chicken used and the stronger sambal. It's curious why the patty is boxy. What's less ideal was it felt less reminiscent of nasi lemak this time. Comes with fried egg, caramelised onion, cucumber.
Sorry, upside down. Well, visually, the patty size wowed me. It's almost 150% the bun. It's also top-grade thigh meat. Unfortunately, the sauce, which seemed like gochujang to me, was overpoweringly spicy and salty.
Err wtf? This variety of McCrispy basically removes the crisp. It's like eating Original Recipe KFC. For McCrispy that's fatal.
