McDonald’s definitely seemed to be quite timely in dishing out new limited time-only soft-serve flavours these days — while the Salted Caramel McFlurry was an item that was only introduced in-line with the Christmas, the Golden Arches had since pulled the Salted Caramel McFlurry from its menu now that Christmas has officially ended. In its place, McDonald’s had just launched an all-new limited time-only soft-serve flavour; the Kueh Bangkit Cone — an item that is only available at McDonalds outlets with a dessert kiosk.

It isn’t immediately obvious but if one does take a closer look at the Kueh Bangkit soft-serve, the Kueh Bangkit soft-serve does come with a slightly brown hue as compared to their usual vanilla soft-serve. Interestingly, the lady in front of us placed an order for the Kueh Bangkit soft-serve and also casually mentioned that it was rare to find such a flavour of soft-serve available; the middle-aged woman serving the ice-cream behind the counter did remark that she quite liked how the Kueh Bangkit soft-serve tasted. Truth to be told, we would have thought that replicating the flavours of Kueh Bangkit would be quite difficult considering the relatively neutral flavours the traditional cookie has — a little coconut-y, but also sugary without being overly so. No doubt the soft-serve would have lacked that “powdery” texture typical of Kueh Bangkit, but the soft-serve inherently bears the traits of Kueh Bangkit where the cookies does somewhat melt away in the mouth — something that further added on to the Kueh Bangkit soft-serves appeal. An item seemingly introduced for the Chinese New Year season (at least based on our guess), the Kueh Bangkit soft-serve is one which we find is good to try for the novelty while it lasts!

Chicken was tender and well Marinated but lacks any sign of being Grilled. Cheese was not bad and the chicken bacon wasnt as non existent as previous rendition somehow. Not amazing by any means, but definitely shows improvement

Haven't had this in a long time, but we had to grab a quick lunch the other day and this was nearby 😊 I have to admit it was quite shiok after not having fast food for a while.

Price: $2.80 a la carte, $5 value meal

Fluffy scrambled eggs, topped with a flavourful sausage patty and classic McChicken sauce, paired with cheddar cheese, all nestled perfectly in a warm bun.
