Ordered platter for 2 ($90) which comes with a pickle platter, nashville fries with an add on of yuzu slaw ($4). First of all, why call it yuzu slaw when you can’t taste yuzu? 🤔 And the pickle platter is a joke; with musty jalapenos and soft cucumbers...everything seemed to have been brined by the same mixture. Cornbread was ok but the honey on top .. what is that?? 🤢 Fries was nicely seasoned but i felt like breaking my jaw eating the fries, it was super hard 😠

On the platter, 2 brisket spring rolls were given and it was ok, better with the sauce. Still bearable. 2 small portion of pork belly was a tad too soft and mushy despite the nice seasoning. The alleged favourite of many, the burnt ends pastrami was not bad but quite charred and left and undesirable burnt taste. The buffalo wings was pretty good but nothing to shout about.

Onto the major stuff, the brisket was soft. But too soft. The pork ribs was also soft to the point it was appalling to eat it due to the overly soft texture🤮 The flavour was nice though.

Moral of the story: don’t bother eating here. May sound harsh but i was expecting quality food. Extremely disappointed after looking forward to eating at one of the best barbecue place in SG but only left with regrets, despite using my Chope vouchers. Sigh...

Pretty decent tart (though more slanted towards the mediocre side). Liked that the lemon meringue was not too sweet, with a texture that was foam-like and very light. However, the tart base leaves much to be desired as it was just a dry untasty biscuit 😥😥

Nice simple dessert and well worth with burpple’s 1-for-1. Vanilla ice cream had visible specks of vanilla bean but was on the sweeter side, but really did enjoy the honeycomb!! (Which was bitter with just a slight tings of sweetness 🤤🤤) Chocolate fudge was nice cause I’m a personal sucker for choc, but cheapened the whole feel of the sweet treat overall.

Definitely a well smoked piece of meat after 14 hours with simple salt and pepper rub, but definitely doesn’t justify the original price 😥😥 BBQ sauce had a nice sweet tangy tinge to it, and meat came with a 80% lean but yet not too tough and padded on the sides with a nice sliver of fatty layer. Pretty good meats but quality doesn’t justify the portion and price sadly ☹️☹️

The lemon tart was not bad, but as a person that likes sour stuff this was not tart enough for me :p the base was a little soft too, but still passable. The ice cream was okay but the honeycomb was heckin sweet so we put half of it aside. -W

Had possibly what was the best meal using burpple beyond thus far. The cornbread was frickin delish: it was savoury sweet salty in a harmonious blend; loved the honey taste & the crumbly texture. The bbq butter that came on the side paired wonderfully w it. Pork ribs: the charred parts were shiok n crisp n were caramelised nicely, liked the sauce too. Secret tip: put bbq butter on the pork!! Yums :) Was impressed w the chicken, it was succulent and tender but the portion was q large and I got a teensy bit tired of it towards the end of the meal. But the sauce that came with the chicken was gr8!! It was tart and was good w the chicken. The slaw was refreshing and gave a good balance against the meatiness of the meal. Super satisfied! -W
