Mei Xiang Prawn Noodle • Lor Mee (Bedok Interchange Hawker)

Joined the queue during the off-peak timing (10+am), and dabaoed my $3 lor mee. Tasty broth and good amt of noodles (before I loaded on the gravy!)

Might not queue on any other day though, if its going to be even longer.

Hubby had the famous (Bedok) Mei Xiang lor mee with long queue. I had a couple of mouthfuls, it’s so yum! 😋Very garlicy and spicy 🌶

From the thickened sauce, fried fish, braised pork belly to the condiments of black vinegar, sambal chilli and garlic purée, all the components work harmoniously to create a perfect bowl of noodles for me. At $3, this is absolutely a steal for the amount of ingredients and passion that goes into it.

Fresh, juicy, firm and sweet crustaceans. Noodles embraced by homemade spicy chilli which might just cause a teardrop or two.... If soupy is your thing, go for the brothy version that bears an umami mouthfeel.

Be prepared to queue. By 11am, there was already a long line. This is a medium bowl ($6) with 4 prawns and little noodles.. If you are a big eater, my advice is to order the biggest bowl ($8).
