I always welcome these crustaceans at zichar! ❀ Featuring fresh & tender crab meat covered with a generous amount of robust-tasting eggy chilli sauce, this was definitely worth getting my hands dirty! 😍😍😍 The natural sweetness of the firm & chunky crab meat was sooooo good! However, the sauce seemed to lean towards the sweeter side - we would have liked it to be slightly spicier!
Who's chilli crab's best friend? FRIED MANTOUS! Cant do without them really! πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ The golden-brown fried mantous were crispy on the outside but so pillowy soft inside. These buns are not to be belittled - definitely did a good job in helping us wipe clean the tasty sauce effortlessly! πŸ‘ YUMSSSSS! ❀

It’s a good dish with the essence from the crab that contributed to the sweetness in the broth but we would still prefer to have chili crab over this any day and also - the satisfaction of dipping our fried man tou into the gravy.

The shimmering sand is as good as ever. Also Kelly Jie and her team came to the rescue after Jumbo cancelled our early preorder last min on Chinese New year eve. Right at 6pm by email. Kelly Jie staff were still so pleasant and gracious and tried to get hold of the driver to make a last minute delivery to us.


Actually, the signature dish of this restaurant is Crab Vermicelli but we decided to try Creamy Butter Crab instead. The waitress asked which crab do we want, male or female. Since I love crab roe, I picked female one. Then she suggested this crab which is really good according to her so we trusted her.
When the dishes came, I tried the sauce first. Creamy butter sauce has a taste similar to Salted Egg sauce. Not quite like I imagined but it tasted okay. The crab itself was really tasty. Full of meat and roe as well. The only downside was I was not good in holding and opening the shells so my fingers gor hurt by the spike 😭
Truffle Pork Loin was great. It has a little hint of sourness from the lime. And, of course, the truffle tasted nice.
Chinese Cabbage was perfectly cooked. I like that it still has the crunchyness. Favorite!

This restaurant is formerly TPT Mellben seafood according to the sign. But it's been so long since I went to the original Melben that I can't remember if this is the same one or not πŸ˜… Anyway their food is really great, so for me doesn't matter what were they before πŸ˜‰ .
