The chicken wings along JB Meldrum Walk are TO DIE FOR. I have been there countless of times and their wings are always tender and juicy. Be prepared to wait as they are barbecued upon order. There is only one store selling chicken wing along the street so you can’t go wrong. It’s beside a bak kut teh and drinks store. Do go earlier as they close once they sell out! Not sure what time they close but I always patron around 5-6pm+ when they just opened.

Other than the orh jian few carts down from JB Fried Oyster, this is what you must get when you’re here! Again, the waiting takes a while, but these were so good. The wings are not the kind with very crispy skin, but they were fragrant and lightly charred. Meat was super flavorful, juicy and tender, and we absolutely loved the savoury sweet glaze.

Apart from wings, they also sell whole chicken legs at 5RM. Think they open around 5+/6pm and the boss told us that they close when they sell out - that’s usually around 8+ to 9pm!

First time coming to this back alley of food, just behind the popular Kam Long Curry Fish Head. Even though I usually prefer crispier oyster omelettes, this was ones we’ve had in JB so far! It was more eggy, slightly wet and not as gooey. We liked that it was well seasoned with bits of chai po, had crispy bits around and a super generous number of oysters - we counted 12 for the small portion (8RM, S$2.70) and 18 for the medium 😂. Oysters were fresh and well cooked. Our only little gripe was that they didn’t really fry the oysters in, hence they weren’t coated with the overall flavour much. We’ll definitely be back! Waiting time may take a while especially during the weekends or meal times.

Singapore's ramly burgers has nothing on those in Malaysia, for obvious reasons.

Had this in JB at one of those roadside stalls along a stretch of eateries. It took us A LOT of searching, and eventually found it by accident. That was after a full dinner.

The special burger was soaking wet with the hot sauces. Be prepared to get messy. Meat was soft and tasty. Utterly delicious and only RM 5.50.

4.1/5 would go JB again just for the ramly.

A good alternative to Taman Sentosa for BBQ seafood at reasonable prices in the near vicinity of City Square Mall. A plate of 3pcs fat and sumptuous stingray and this plate of Sotong with the right chewiness only cost RM55! It may not be as cheap as Taman Sentosa, but for the convenience and portion size I'm good to pay for it! Spicy sambal sauce with springy fat squid on banana leaves for the added fragrance. Drools!

This fried kuay teow consists only of rice noodles, egg and beansprouts but is so full of flavour. May 2019 be the same - simple yet comforting! 😁

Price: RM 5
