This Tokyo's top chicken ramen tasted awesome. The broth was thick and flavourful, with a generous amount of ingredients.

Price:$15.50

I’m not a fan of chicken ramen, however since they mentioned No.1, ok I’ll give it a try. One reason of my visit because Tendon Kohaku is full house and longg queue, so I’m a spontaneous customer to dropped by Menya Takeichi.

A sip of the collagen rich chicken broth is heartwarming. Make sure your ramen soup is hot so you can taste a full flavor of the broth.

The bambo shoots, onsen egg and tender chicken slices was taste good.

Menya Takeichi
Suntec level 3 Japanese Food Street

No matter what your pick in regional or preparation style. It’s served here.  A not-so-common variant is the chicken paitan ramen served at Menya Takeichi. Despite it not being the tonkutsu gut-bomb that stays with you longer than a cheese steak from Park Bench Deli, its still one to get.

Made from chicken bones boiled for hours, the broth comes with an aggressive creaminess. The yolk of the simmered egg is gooey and violently orange and the slices of chicken breast are still surprisingly tender. Chilli threads add unnecessary but welcome pizzaz. Be forewarned that the thin noodles soften quickly so get slurping fast.

The broth was rich and they also provide extra soup for those who prefer their soup less rich. I enjoyed the spiciness and the chicken meat was rather tender too.

This salt base rich chicken soup is filled with ingredients such as japanese egg, chicken balls, tender chicken slices, seaweed and of course springy noodles! The soup is so full of collagen! If it is too thick, one can pour more clear soup in which is provided for free! $16.50

Added this on to my ramen at $3.50 only! Comes with poached egg, delicious chicken balls, mayo and jap rice with jap sauce! It is a must order for me each time I visit! Mix them up and every bite is just happiness going in the stomach! At 5plus pm the restaurant was not crowded and we got seats immediately with food served fast. Chefs are jap!
