If you’re a fan of dry ramen noodles this is a place to check out! The noodles are thick, Q and chewy. This spicy version is surprisingly pretty spicy for Japanese standard (perhaps tweaked to cater to local tastebuds) and is topped with tonnes of chopped spring onions, seaweed and an onsen egg.

It's have been part of food wishlist since they started the operations at Suntec City under Japan Area (Level 3). Ok I just recently have been clearing my food wishlist so that I'm not regretting lol for waiting so long 🙃🙃🙃 I always like trying experimental food such as dry based ramen 🍜 ok its just legit and interesting seasoning mixed taste that I want to try it. I ordered char siew mazesoba (regular size) without spicy and adding more vegetables ($12.90) and my friend ordered original mazesoba (regular size) without spicy and adding more vegetables ($8.90). I found that char siew was quite hard and a bit overcooked. 🙃 but the noodles texture just nice and can added rice to mix with seasoning sauce. I felt in my opinion the japan food area at suntec city was really quiet and no crowded anymore 😱 and saw one of japan buffet shop closed down during covid 19.

Their noodles are springy and chewy, almost as thick as udon noodles. As you mix the ingredients in, the sous vide egg combines into the creamy sauce coating the noodles and the ingredients, and it’s heavenly

Their popular flavour, 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐮 𝐓𝐨𝐤𝐲𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐳𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐛𝐚($𝟏𝟐.𝟖𝟎), along with the 𝐁𝐞𝐞𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐳𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐛𝐚 ($𝟏𝟒.𝟖𝟎), come with spring onions, chives, nori and a sous vide egg. The meat is decent, but I much preferred the chashu!

Btw I took their “less soba more vegetables” option which is actually still rly substantial and they give different vegetables, not just more!

They also recommend mixing in vinegar sauce to your noodles, which I think really works and balances out the creaminess, but if you don’t like vinegar give that a pass. At the end, it gets EVEN BETTER 😭 as you can call for a complimentary tiny bowl of rice to soak up all that extra sauce 😩😩

The newest addition to their menu is the 𝐔𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐢 𝐌𝐚𝐳𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐛𝐚 ($𝟏𝟔.𝟖𝟎), which I ordered! The noodles in this were much thinner than their other bowls, that I think worked really well with the umami of the dish. The addition of sweet tamago was interesting, but felt a bit out of place as the sharp sweetness didn’t really suit the dish.

Original Mazedon - $10.80
A rice bowl that’s topped with minced meat, spring onion, chives & seaweed. The onsen egg at the top will help moist the rice when mixing the rice bowl. After tasting the original flavour, you can consider adding in some kokoro homemade vinegar, which I really enjoyed! Will be back for more of such mazedon
Kokoro Menya

Did you know that @menyakokorosg is Tokyo Number 1 Mazesoba (Mixing Ramen) and also the winner of the best Mazesoba 2014 in Japan?

With three outlets in Singapore so far - @sunteccity, @100ammall & @plazasingapura, you can get your cravings satisfied with a variety of Maxesobas/Mazedons to choose from. But if none of that interests you, their Tonkotsu/Mala ramen might do the trick.

👉Mega Tokyo Mazesoba - SGD12.80

Every component in the bowl was calculated to work well together, creating a marriage of flavours. I’ve to admit I’m biased towards Mazesoba🤣.
