The most well known dish from Merci Marcel is none other than the Ravioles de Royans. Essentially ravioli but le French version, the dish is consists of a ravioles dumpling pasta filled with Tête de Moine cheese.

Available in both a small and large portion, I immediately regretted getting the small portion. While it was quite unseemly when it was served as it was looking pretty small, it packed a punch with each savoury bite and literally blew my mind away. Creamy and delectable, I'm left asking "Can I have some more, sir?". Honestly, how can something taste so good!

Oh good Lord. I'm so glad I got to try Merci Marcel over the weekend before the annoucement of the same damn restrictions yet again. It's getting ridiculous at this point.

Anyhoo, I'm not sure why it took me so long to try Merci Marcel. It's been on my list since forever. Known for their French fanfare, Merci has since expanded to multiple outlets including their Orchard branch and a French crepe concept that is - French Fold.

You'll find your typical French cuisine offerings since as duck rillettes, cold cuts, cheeses and even Croque Monsieur. Alas, their signature dish is none other than the Ravioles de Rayons - a French dumpling pasta filled with Tête de Moine cheese. Holy crap it was so good it literally blew my tastebuds away. Oh Lord have I sinned with this creamy goodness. Glad I finally got to try Merci - I'll definitely head back soon for more Ravioles!

Croque Marcel [$23]
Two huge sourdough with bayonne ham and sunny side up. Sourdough tasted really good and paired well with the cheese. Egg however wasn't runny and the ham was overly salty for our liking.

Ravioles de Royans [$18]
Fun-sized dumpling pasta filled with cheese. The cream sauce was cheesy and rich, yet doesn't feel heavy. A flavour bomb dish and definitely a must try for cheese lovers.

Crème Brûlée [$10]
The crispy charred caramalised sugar gently breaks apart upon tapping it lightly with a spoon, revealing the smooth, creamy and luscious custard. If you're looking for a light sweet treat, this is definitely the one.

The Grain-Fed Angus Beef ($30) is served with a buttery bearnaise sauce, thick-cut fries and mesclun salad. The medium-rare steak is tasty but I find it quite tough. The fries are also not as crispy as I like them to be. I guess this is more of a miss than hit for me~
