Salted Butterscotch ($3.80) ๐Ÿจ๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿง‚
Wow we can see why this was truly their bestseller!! ๐Ÿคฉ๐ŸคฉThis combination of brown sugar, butter, salt, and graham pie crust made this ice cream both sweet and savoury. Each spoon of this delight kept us wanting more!
Coconut ($3.80) ๐Ÿฅฅ๐ŸŒด
This was a good pairing with the butterscotch because it was SO light and gentle on the palate. There were little coconut chunks embedded in this soft ice cream, making really authentic and refreshing ๐ŸŒฌ
Green Tea ($3.80) ๐Ÿต
We didnโ€™t know that this was created from @matchayasg โ€™s green tea!! Though not particularly mind-blowing, this was a reliable and simple flavour that satisfied our matcha cravings.
Peanut Butter ($3.80) ๐Ÿฅœ
This was a sinful indulgence that really tasted like cold and smooth but less gao peanut butter. We were surprised that it wasnโ€™t actually just peanut butter with how it tasted ๐Ÿ˜…Next time we would try pairing this with their Grape Yakult Yoghurt (according to them), which quite literally becomes PBnJ!!
Taste: 3.5/5
Stonks: 4/5 (with burpple!)
Overall: 3.5/5 !!
We used burpple 1-for-1 on their double scoops and weโ€™re really excited to be back for more, maybe even for their pints! ๐Ÿ˜‹ They are having their anniversary promo of buy 3 pints, get 1 free (ends 17 Apr), so do visit their website if youโ€™re keen! Overall, I loved how humble and heartwarming their ice cream is, and weโ€™re definitely on the lookout for their Valrhona Chocolate and Roasted Pistachio next time. Merely Ice Cream has a second branch at Our Tampines Hub, so easties do check them out! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Chocolate Stout (top) and Earl Grey (bottom) - $4.50 for 1 for 1 scoops (extra 70cents for premium flavours). Chocolate Stout had a faint alcohol aftertaste but still just tasted strongly of Chocolate. Earl grey is decent but a little on the sweet side.

Salted Butterscotch flavour was not too sweet, and it came with a generous amount of lotus biscoff bits. I personally thought that the chunks of biscoff biscuits broke down way too much, resulting in a less than ideal powdery texture. I could be nitpicking, but I do wonder if there is any way the biscuit chunks wouldnโ€™t break down so much, as it distracted me from the salted butterscotch taste too much.

The milo fudge was a recommended combination by the staff to pair with the salted butterscotch scoop. True enough, rich flavour of milo which inevitably fell to the sweeter side. It was nonetheless a guilty pleasure though!

Grape Yakult Yoghurt had a sweet, milky consistency โ€” think grape flavoured ice popsicle but in an ice cream form. Pretty well-executed especially if you enjoy the two elements of grape and yakult, but as for the yogurt element, it did not really come through. What was delivered still sufficed though!

Horlicks Panda was an interesting flavour which really illuminated the childhood touch with the hello panda biscuit pieces within. A good taste of horlicks came through, with a decent soft and creamy texture.
