When I heard of this restaurant that serves fresh and affordable Mexican fare, it definitely warrants a visit and boy did it not disappoint.

If you are a person that goes for variety, this is the place to be as you get to customize each taco to your preferred taste. I set my sights on the "street style" soft corn tortilla tacos (2 for $9.90, 3 for $12.90).

Can't exactly remember the combinations that I have chosen but my proteins were the char-grilled chicken (chicken breast marinated with a tex-mex dry rub with lemon, paprika and pepper), cochinita pibil (pork shoulder slow braised in orange juice, spices and banana leaf) and carne asada (Australian flank steak marinated with cilantro, cumin and ancho chillis, additional $2). My salsa picks were the pico de gallo (tomato, cilantro, red onion, jalapeño), mango pineapple and salsa verde.

As you can see, many spices went into the marination and salsa, which packs a punch in terms of the tanginess or spiciness. It definitely "lifts" the tacos and alleviates the taste.

A new kid on the block at Marina Bay Financial Tower. Think it is a great new option for the time-poor warrior in this hectic area.

This was my Mexican lunch yesterday. Spread on the bed of romaine salad were beef barbacoa (a signature meat here that's tender, mildly spicy and on the dry side), guacamole, salsa verde and rice. Overall, I found this tasty but a tad pricey.

A little disappointing tbh. While it was fabulously crispy on the outside, the inside was a little too dense and chewy. It was a little tasteless, and nothing spectacular. The search for the best churros in town continues.

Tacos stuffed with chargrilled chicken and pulled pork shoulder. The chicken was nicely grilled and well-marinated. Quite a generous portion was given, though it wasn't overpowering and just right for the taco. The pulled pork, while tasty, was a tad dry imo. The tacos held their shape and don't get soggy, which is always a plus point. Topped with cheese, guacamole, and sour cream, it made for a pretty damn good taco.
