Come during off-peak hours to get a seat at this tiny cafe (all al fresco!) at Serene Centre. Request for a water bowl for your pooch while you fill up on their creamy Scrambled Eggs ($12) topped with furikake, served on a slice of buttered sourdough toast — extra yummy with a side of avocado ($2). Otherwise, their creamy yet light House Ricotta Tartine ($12) served with roasted tomatoes, baby spinach and basil should do the trick. For a snack, opt for a simple Sourdough Toast ($6) with butter, salt and pepper. P.s Get an extra dollop of jam for just a dollar.

2 slice of toast with butter, salt and pepper add-on jam. One slice of toast was buckwheat the other country (I think).

The country toast goes very well with butter, salt and pepper while buckwheat goes well with butter and jam.

I loveee their buckwheat bread. It has a unique taste and is not commonly found elsewhere. It is my default choice of bread to take home whenever I’m here.

The chocolate zucchini rye cake ($5) is average. It is a slightly dry, coarse rustic chocolate cake with strips of visible zucchini and some chocolate chips. I wish there are more chocolate chips to add more richness and moisture to the cake. Cappuccino is good.

Came here to sketch and just chill! Ordered a nice cinnamon roll which you could tell was homemade! Only complaint is the heat and the lack of fans and cooling, making it quite unpleasant if you easily get hot! However, do come try out the rest of their dishes and tartines! 🌍😳

House ricotta tartine with oven roasted tomatoes, baby spinach, basil.

The ricotta is so good - creamy yet light so you won’t feel gelat finishing the tartine by yourself. The oven roasted tomatoes add a nice sweetness and all the components work well together. The bread is also soft yet crusty at the edges ( I hate good bread that are unnecessarily over toasted). Love the bread and ricotta.

I prefer this to their ciabatta “sandwich of the day”. The ciabatta was good but I did not enjoy the combination of cold roasted carrots, feta and ciabatta.

Their coffee is robust - which I like - and chocolate chip buckwheat cookie is soooo good.

This took us by surprise.. I never knew that pairing seasoned seaweed with creamy scrambled eggs sat so well with a slice of warm french buttered sourdough bread $12
Add a side of avocado and you can take my money already

Their sourdough bread is the star here which pairs tastefully with dates and cream cheese
IMHO I also found their banana walnut poundcake to be one of the best ones around SG
