Rockmelon, until end of the month

I love rockmelon but there's way too much jam and too little fruit. Notwithstanding, the flavour of the fruit was still lacking.

There's complexity from the mint, but the balsamic and the flavoured salt doesn't come through at all. It's not particularly jarring a combination but it definitely didn't mesh well either.

Their toast is overly chewy as per normal, terrible for this sort of dish

Quite underwhelming for a rockmelon lover, I guess if you don't particularly like the fruit this might be acceptable for you, but in which case you should probably order something else here.

PSA Fig sourdough usually sells out before 10am, come early or preorder. Sourdough egg tarts are only avail on weekends

As you can tell the original portion of burrata is pathetic

Burrata isn't of high quality, really the worst I've had so far actually, not creamy and it's spongy. "Flatbread" is hardly a normal flatbread, no crisp and like everything here, overly chewy in the middle. Tomatoes were fine. Pecans did nothing for the dish and can hardly be tasted

Oh and this was annoying as hell to eat, because burrata and tomato and particularly pecans kept dropping off. There's nothing sticking it to the smooth flatbread

I'm glad she likes it but I was sorely disappointed. Who said this was good?

I look forward to Micro’s seasonal toasts, which usually feature ricotta with a seasonal fruit. This time it’s rock melon, one of my most disliked fruits, but I trusted Micro to deliver, and deliver they did. The usual crusty tangy sourdough and thick pillows of ricotta are topped with rock melon, candied pumpkin seeds, mint, and some sort of orange jam that go beautifully well together. There’s no escaping the taste of the rock melon, but it’s not so bad when combined with all the other flavours.

She's a thing of beauty. Bites with a fantastic crisp and yet super easy to pull apart, with fat lumps of cream cheese stuffed between generous slices of baked fig (though personally I prefer more cheese than fruit).

This is another one of Micro’s seasonal toasts that I’m in love with. Creamy ricotta, rhubarb poached in ginger honey, and rhubarb jam, sprinkled with orange zest and pistachio bits, on what I still feel is one of the best sourdoughs on the island. It’s a delightful mix of sweetness and tartness, creaminess and crunchiness, on a foundation of a chewy sourdough.
