Micro Bakery's cinnamon roll was decent, as there was the pronounced taste of cinnamon, and the bread roll itself was really fluffy/airy too so you won't get too full from the roll. However, we felt that the roll was a little too sweet, so it might be more of a dessert pastry, than something that you may want to eat early in the morning.

Micro Bakery at Katong was really crowded on a weekend morning and they do not take reservations. Hence, you may wish to go early if you planning to head down in a big group!

We saw quite a few tables ordering the grilled cheese sandwich and we decided to give the dish a try as well! The mainstay of the dish is brie with a generous serving of mozzarella and cheddar cheese. You can pair the sandwich with the tomato jam served along the side as well. 😋

While the bread was toasted very well and was pretty crusty, we thought that the cheese was a little too thick and it was way too much for the sandwich! Furthermore, the cheesy taste wasn't really present. We think it might have been nicer if the cheese were more concentrated, and less cheese were used. 😋 That being said, we liked the tomato jam as the tomato flavour wasn't too overpowering. However, it might pair strangely with the cheese sandwich for some as you will taste more tomato than cheese if you use the jam as a sandwich dip.

The dish was decent and reasonably priced ($13++), but we have had better grilled cheese sandwiches outside before.

🍞 DIY BREAD N BUTTER PLATE ($7.50 ++) 🧈 made my own beautiful breakfast plate of my favourite brunch ingredients 💕organic scrambled eggs 🍳 (tasted like brekkie in the UK especially in the “winter” weather❄️) with sustainably sourced salmon and sautéed mushrooms ✨ absolutely love it all as decided all to my taste hehe🤤 this adds up to $25 but I won’t have it any other way hehs 👌

GRILLED 3 CHEESE TOAST🥪 heard and seen so much of this! Tbh maybe too high expectations so it is kinda disappointing😅 as I had a better one elsewhere before oops. Could have more cheese 🧀 as it bit cooled and there isn’t much of a flow or pull😭 I do love the tomato purée jam🍅!!! It’s relish but would love like double the portion for both halves lol. For $14, bit on the high side but to be fair it’s well toasted in butter😁

A triple threat sandwich with mozzarella, brie and cheddar, this grilled cheese sandwich is a hearty brunch option. The tomato jam is very very yummy and the side salad is probably one of the best I’ve had on a brunch plate in awhile. All, if not most of micro’s brunch plates showcase slices of their signature sourdough bread which is toasted to the perfect crunch and are sufficiently tangy.
