Almost exactly how u expect it to taste if cooked, nothing special
Their sauce was sweet and the noodles were too soft. Other than that, I just love the taste profile of hiyashi soba so I'm partial to the sweetness, umami and slight acidity in such a bowl. Not bad but could have been a lot more enjoyable using noodles with more bite
This is the replacement
Deserves a separate post as the first batch were of different sizes, and therefore I suspected that either the smallest one was overcooked or the largest one was raw inside and unfortunately, I was right for the latter case. They promptly replaced another skewer that was more evenly shaped and cooked through.
Subpar. Only saving grace was perhaps the tebasaki with abit of crispiness. It's not that it's very bad, it's just not good. Chicken skewers lack char and smokiness, quail eggs were slightly chewy on the exterior from being grilled
Passable in taste, tho as someone previously mentioned 4 of the 5 sticks were bacon. Buta bara(pork belly) was decently tender, though lean
As someone who doesn't like truffle I'm just glad that the truffle aroma was rather muted, but it's definitely there when u put it in your mouth. Pork was v tender, and despite the simplicity of the dish it was q addictive(my friend even proclaimed he would come back just for this)
