I haven’t had pearls in such a long time that I forgot how chewy and sweet it can be. Taro milk bears resemblance to like a bur bur cha cha. Won’t it be just perfect if there were some mini red rubies in replace of pearls

In partnership with Yum Cha, you can now order Milksha’s handcrafted beverages together with Yum Cha’s Express’ dim sum items via Yum Cha’s delivery website. Now, you can have your piping hot dim sum while sipping on a well-beloved beverage at the comfort of your own home. Available for island-wide delivery, some of the drinks available include their signature Fresh Taro Milk, Brown Sugar Milk with Honey Pearls, Earl Grey Latte and Refreshing Orange Green Tea. The pure joy of being able to chomp down on those Salted Egg Custard Bao and Fish Roe Siew Mai while slurping on the crowd favourite Earl Grey Latte might have just lifted our spirits in this gloomy circuit breaker. So what are you waiting for? Head on over to www.yumchaexpress.com.sg to order up some dim sum and bubble tea.

Opted for the one without azuki beans as I don’t like overly sweet stuff. Chose the least amount of sugar at 30%, the sweetness is just nice. Strong and fragrant matcha taste without being too bitter.

Currently Milksha is running a promotion of selected hojicha and matcha drinks at 2 for $8.
It’s a very good deal considering how the drink alone will cost about $5.60.
The hojicha wasn’t too bad however I think they should have the flexibility of choosing less milk. The fresh milk kind of made the hojicha less obvious. On the other hand, the matcha azuki was good. The azuki beans were slightly sweet and matcha was fragrant.

Houjicha is known to be high in antioxidants and can help relieve stress. Enjoy the Houjicha Milk, which delights with its delicate and mildly sweet flavour, or go for the Houjicha Jelly Frost (the one on the right of my pic), an ice blended beverage with chunks of refreshing grass jelly.

Promo: 2 cups for $8 (any of the Japanese series drink) from 10 to 27 March 2020

Contest (13 to 31 March 2020): Buy any drink served in the New Seasonal Spring Cup series (like the one on the left of my pic) and stand a chance to win a unit of Nintendo Switch Lite + The Legend of Zelda game, exclusive Milksha tumblers and complimentary beverages. Simply take a pic of any Milksha beverage in their spring cup series, geotag and tag @milksha_sg then post it with #MilkshaMoment on Instagram to quality.

$6.60

Ordering the drink at 30% sweetness is just right, with the aromatic flavour of the matcha being at the forefront, not being overpowered by unnecessary sweetness. Our only gripe was with the pearls, which although had great flavour, were harder than we would have liked, and were missing the chewy texture that you’d usually expect to find in your bubble tea.
