Opted for the one without azuki beans as I don’t like overly sweet stuff. Chose the least amount of sugar at 30%, the sweetness is just nice. Strong and fragrant matcha taste without being too bitter.

Currently Milksha is running a promotion of selected hojicha and matcha drinks at 2 for $8.
It’s a very good deal considering how the drink alone will cost about $5.60.
The hojicha wasn’t too bad however I think they should have the flexibility of choosing less milk. The fresh milk kind of made the hojicha less obvious. On the other hand, the matcha azuki was good. The azuki beans were slightly sweet and matcha was fragrant.
Price: worth it, 5/5

Houjicha is known to be high in antioxidants and can help relieve stress. Enjoy the Houjicha Milk, which delights with its delicate and mildly sweet flavour, or go for the Houjicha Jelly Frost (the one on the right of my pic), an ice blended beverage with chunks of refreshing grass jelly.

Promo: 2 cups for $8 (any of the Japanese series drink) from 10 to 27 March 2020

Contest (13 to 31 March 2020): Buy any drink served in the New Seasonal Spring Cup series (like the one on the left of my pic) and stand a chance to win a unit of Nintendo Switch Lite + The Legend of Zelda game, exclusive Milksha tumblers and complimentary beverages. Simply take a pic of any Milksha beverage in their spring cup series, geotag and tag @milksha_sg then post it with #MilkshaMoment on Instagram to quality.

Ordering the drink at 30% sweetness is just right, with the aromatic flavour of the matcha being at the forefront, not being overpowered by unnecessary sweetness. Our only gripe was with the pearls, which although had great flavour, were harder than we would have liked, and were missing the chewy texture that you’d usually expect to find in your bubble tea.

black sesame milk was rich, with a deep, earthy flavor. they really didn’t skimp on the black sesame! 🤪 honey pearls were chewy and had a substantial bite. lightly tinged with honey, the pearls complemented the drink well without overpowering it. a quality cup! though pricier than your usual bubble tea joints 🤧

7.5/10 ✨

Voted to be the favourite bubble tea chain by Taiwanese university students, Milksha specialises in milk-based beverages. We had the azuki matcha milk which uses Izumo Tousuien matcha powder imported from Japan. While it was a decent drink that had the right mix of matcha, milk and azuki, I’d prefer my matcha to be way much thicker or “gao”.
