Ming Chung Restaurant is one of my favourite restaurants ever since I was a kid - their Henghua dishes are really good and authentic❤️ The noodles are always the highlight of our meal - I love the Fried Mee Sua ($13 for large) and Lor Mee ($12 for large)! Both noodles come with clams, prawns, pork, sotong, taupok and vegetables, with an additional sprinkle of peanut and seaweed for fried mee sua and yam for the lor mee. I like to add a dash vinegar to the lor mee for an extra kick. Noodles aside, the Stir-Fried Lala ($12 for small) is spicy and flavourful, while the beancurd skin in Kai Lan and Beancurd Skin ($10 for small) soaks up the delicious gravy in their folds. Can’t go wrong with this place!

Henghua Lor Mee (braised noodle) is a must-have for the regulars. Henghua Lor Mee is cooked in a lighter and starchier broth that’s brimming with prawns, beancurd, lean meat, clams and vegetables.

Heng hwa lor mee has always been fascinating because of its atypical white broth that retains the dark broth's 卤味. Opened since 1933, ming chung has been serving heng hwa cuisine such as the signature lor mee and bee hoon to avid diners. Extremely affordable for the portion given: I had my bowl for only $5

Brimming with fresh squid, beancurd, lean meat, prawns, lor gravy and noodles, the price forked out for this portion is definitely value for money! People with small appetites, please settle for the small-sized options here, as they are substantial enough. Absolutely adore the thickness of the lor mee sua here — think slightly thinner than mee pok, but thicker than actual mee sua. IMO, it actually tasted better than the lor mee, which they are famous for. Glad that we braved the drizzle to walk to this joint, as this was just what we needed to warm our bellies on this cold, cold day.

My family have been visiting Ming Chung since I was a kid, and no visit is ever complete without ordering the delectable Heng Hua fried meesua and lormee:)!

Seems a lot of people eat here. Food is alright, do try other dishes beside the noodles.
