Heng hwa lor mee has always been fascinating because of its atypical white broth that retains the dark broth's 卤味. Opened since 1933, ming chung has been serving heng hwa cuisine such as the signature lor mee and bee hoon to avid diners. Extremely affordable for the portion given: I had my bowl for only $5

Brimming with fresh squid, beancurd, lean meat, prawns, lor gravy and noodles, the price forked out for this portion is definitely value for money! People with small appetites, please settle for the small-sized options here, as they are substantial enough. Absolutely adore the thickness of the lor mee sua here — think slightly thinner than mee pok, but thicker than actual mee sua. IMO, it actually tasted better than the lor mee, which they are famous for. Glad that we braved the drizzle to walk to this joint, as this was just what we needed to warm our bellies on this cold, cold day.
