Loved the omelette roll, but that’s the only non-replenishable item. The kelp salad and kimchi were great appetisers too, but I felt the anchovies were a bit overly candied.

Have been eating this for a longgg time, probably for the past 8-10 years. I call this the “korean caifan” - you get rice, 4 dishes, and seaweed soup. My fav dishes are the beef, braised potato slices, taukwa, broccoli, kimchi and omelette. I rotate between these options, depending on what’s available. I also like that they use good quality rice that is slightly sticky! Overall it’s yummy, very homely, with generous portions. I was really full after the meal so rmb to bring a big eater to give some of your food to 😂

Tried some of the pork and I think the beef is much better, but my friend says that the pork is decent and “better than food court korean”. They also have bbq outlets so maybe I’ll try that in future, but the original store (this one) just has a charm that has me coming back again and again :)

We ordered seafood pancake which was really nice and crispy. The grilled pork was not bad too, but no lettuce is given, have to pay for it. The portion is REALLY HUGE!

MINGJIA III korea family restaurant is a TERRIBLE restaurant. The China lady whom I’ve ordered from was terrible. I’ve asked what’s inside the tofu soup and she ONLY told me in Chinese there’s CLAMS, PRAWNS and sotongs. SHE DID NOT EVEN MENTIONED THAT THERE ARE MUSSELS IN IT. I HAVE FOOD ALLERGY FOR MUSSELS and she refused to let me change. I understand that the kitchen is closed but she should rectify the damn situation. It made my dinner experience extremely unhappy and THE FOOD IS EXTREMELY PRICEY.

Never going to patronise this shop again. BEWARE ORDERING FROM THE CHINA LADY. She can’t even speak a proper English sentence.

Unlike what I heard about the crowd on weekdays, this place was utterly quiet slightly before meal time on a Saturday evening. What they serve here is Korean cuisine with a homely feeling.

There’s a bento set where you could choose a meat dish and 2 vegetables at $6.50, there’s bibimbap, cold buckwheat noodles, seafood pancake, spicy tofu soup etc. I chose this non-spicy tofu stew set which comes with a choice of vegetable. A simple comforting stew of silky tofu blocks, enoki mushrooms, lots of cabbage, egg, some tiny pieces of squid tentacles and best of all, Sakura shrimps that contributed to the umami and sweetness of the soup. Nothing too complex, but I wish the vegetables were heated instead of serving cold.

I really love their beef hotpot! It's filled generously with ingredients such as beef, leek, onion, mushroom, rice cakes and green/red chili. Kind of spicy and has a kick in the broth but very manageable kind of spice.
