There's only 2 things that doesn't suck about rain on a Saturday morning for me: the weather isn't too hot, and Ming kee doesn't have a queue. Usually the queue is 10 strong, consistently throughout the lunchtime.

This is very satisfying for 1pax, the staff would advise you get chicken thigh+drumstick instead(you get abit less thigh meat, but easier for most people to finish)

Chicken was very generous in portion(get the normal portion 3.5nett for most value for money), and can tell they use massive chickens.

One of the best, I feel good chicken rice is difficult to compare because they're usually so different

This one has pretty tender meat, w a light but salty soy sauce which is seriously addictive. The chili was watery with a lot of ginger, but fits the profile of the dish perfectly.

There's no reason to doubt the queue, just pray it rains so the queue is short, it doesn't move fast because a lot of people Dabao huge portions

For the price, this is a lot of food given. It gives a very homly feeling, fills your belly adequately and satisfies your cravings. Note that the chilli may be spicy for some people.

Probably one of the better chicken rice stalls I’ve came across. Portion was relatively big and the chicken was nice and tender too. Will definitely visit again!

Ming Kee chicken rice is known for their ice cold hainanese chicken, with the cold supposedly making the chicken meat more tender and juicy, but my chicken wasn’t really cold and it tasted quite average to me. The chicken rice was nice though. Good for a casual meal but isn’t as great as hyped up to be. Many other better chicken rice places out there.

It's a wonder how they continue to keep their chicken rice at $3.50, and I deeply respect that. It's been years since I ate it although I stay nearby and I must say this is a winning plate of chicken rice from it's authentic tasting chicken broth, cold jelly chicken skin and tender meat, less oily rice. It just tastes healthy, compared to most chicken rice that's generous in both salt and oil

When I around bishan area, I like to go for Ming Kee chicken rice 😄 They give generous portions with affordable price 😋

Once their chicken is cook, they dunk it into ice water, it will create bouncy jelly-like fats under the skin, very juicy and tender making every bite a succulent. Average cost is about $4-6/pax.
