Returned to eat their HKM. More than 15 years of eating here and the consistency remains. Feels like I have been eating across two generations since now the son is cooking. A savoury plate of slurpy noodles with beansprouts, sotong, eggs, and two peeled prawns. Their version is the wet style, which I like, cooked till thick, creamy, and eggy, almost like eating Asian carbonara with a touch of wok hei. Slurp, slurp, and it is gone in a few bites. The stock used is rich and umami.

Tasty, though the sotong seemed like a last minute add, cooked only briefly, so the flavour did not soak in well. At least the texture was not rubbery. There used to be pork lard, but not sure where it went, maybe need to request. Chilli was spicy and matched nicely with the noodles.

They also serve Char Kway Teow ($5), which lean more toward the sweet side. The distinct sweetness from the sauce shines through, cooked with cockles and dried sausages. Light in color, moderate in taste—pretty decent, but my heart still leans toward the Hokkien Mee.

I've been savouring their Hokkien Mee for years, watching generations pass down their culinary artistry. They still whip up a delicious Hokkien Prawn Mee—wet-style and savoury. A standard plate now costs $5, and it's quite slurpy and flavourful with a generous portion. Only critique: wishing for a bit more prawn and squid, but overall, it's delightful.

Sometimes, they have crispy pork lard on the counter for a noodle topping. Do add the sambal too!

Found this stall inside the food court opposite Yishun Temporary Bus Interchange. It was the wet version and I felt it was prepared to salty. The chili sauce wasn’t enough spicy. The prawn and squid was cold. $4
