Ming’s Characteristic Roasted Delights (Tekka Centre)

Tried this relatively new stall at Tekka Centre situated beside the famous 545 Whampoa Prawn Noodles recently — was quite amazed by the number of items they have to offer here despite being a typical roasted delights stall on first sight.

Went with something more conventional, though the offering of Braised Pork Belly Noodles comes as a surprise to me. Really liked how the meats here are very well-executed; the Braised Pork Belly was tender, juicy and succulent — noticed how the cut used featured a good proportion of fatty parts and lean meat for a meaty bite without being particularly dry, whilst coming pretty savoury and minimal cartilage for more meat. The Char Siew was also equally outstanding; again featuring both fatty and leaner parts — seemingly done in the Malaysian-style, the fattier parts come melt-in-the-mouth, whilst carrying a hint of sweetness from the honey glaze over the top with a slight char. Would recommend to have rice over the noodles here; the noodles were a wee bit too soggy for my liking — still would prefer to have my favourite Chin Seng Cooked Food’s noodles in comparison, but the meats are certainly worth the go especially if in the area, considering how it seems to be probably the best you can get at Tekka Centre (or at least, for the ones that we had tried).
