From the Burpple community

Between the two grill platters, I personally prefer Miska's Seafood Grill which features a mix of marinated & grilled salmon, fish fillet, squid, king
prawns, served with baby potato and corn on cob, on a bed of rocket salad.

As with the mixed-meat grill, the portions were generous. The seafood was well-grilled. The king prawns were great and the salmon and fish fillet were flaky and juicy. I was also surprised that the bbq squid was tender and chewy.

In conclusion, I think Miska is a great spot if you come not expecting fancy and true-blue Mediterranean fare but decent and reasonably priced western food with Mediterranean influence for a good quiet date night or with a group of friends to share their oversized platters.

PS. As always, special thanks to the Burpple and Miska folks for hosting us for the #burpple #eatup!

For bigger groups, Miska also has grilled platters which are perfect for sharing between 2 to 3 pax.

Their Mix-Meat Grill platter features marinated grilled chicken fillet, lamb chops, ribeye steak and sausages served with butter rice, roasted baby potatoes, corn on the cob and fries on the side.

Portions are HUUUUUUUGE. At this price, you will definitely not be getting A5 wagyu beef but the quality of their meats was decent. The lamb chops were tender, juicy and well-marinated. If I have to quibble, the chicken filet and ribeye used were relatively thin cuts. They were therefore slightly overcooked and a little dry and tough.

Overall, I think Miska's mixed-meat grill strikes a good balance between price, quantity and quality and is a steal at this price!

P.S. I don't think their grill platters fall under the #burpplebeyond 1-for-1 deal but they should qualify for the 15% discount!

Beef Burger and pizza wouldn't sound out of place but how about a beef burger pizza!

Miska's beef burger pizza was easily my favourite dish of the night. A thin pizza crust is topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, pockets of juicy minced beef, sliced white onion and paprika. It is sweet, savoury and cheesy all in one.

I highly recommend "reconstructing" your beef burger by folding your slice of pizza in half because you get twice the amount of fillings in each bite!

P.s. This is really good value with Burpple Beyond's 1 for 1 mains from Mondays to Fridays. You ain't out of luck otherwise because they also have 15% off with Burpple Beyond for weekends!

I will however recommend coming for Miska's meat and seafood dishes.

For starters, we had their shrimp gambas. I was expecting shrimps swimming in a pool of garlic infused olive oil. Instead, we were served grilled king prawns topped with a salsa sauce made from diced tomatoes, onions and parsley.

Their prawns were plump and succulent sweet and went swimmingly well with the tangy and piquant salsa sauce. It also came served with white sauce. If you like a slightly rich and creamy flavour, you can dunk the prawns in it. As for me, I am happy to have it with the salsa sauce!

To be honest, I am still not sure why they called the dish shrimp gambas though!

P.S. Special thanks to the folks at Burrple and Miska Cafe for hosting us!

Our Burpple #EATUP today takes us literally over seas (technically) to Miska, a Mediterranean-style bistro at Quayside Isle in Sentosa.

If you are looking for a nice and quiet date night spot with a lovely sea breeze and the view of (expensive) yachts parked in a marina, Miska is just perfect and won't burn a hole in your pocket.

The folks at Miska started us off first with hummus and pita bread. I am kinda picky with hummus, after being spoilt by those I had in the Middle East a couple of years ago. Miska's hummus is a little grainy which kinda dampens the flavour. Decent but not something I will order in a return visit.

The final dish we had at Miska Cafe, the ๐—ฆ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—ฑ ๐—š๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—น๐—น ($58), was the encore of the concert. All the concert goers were deliriously dancing to the beats, trying to prolong their enjoyment as they knew that this epic night would unfortunately end soon.

The smorgasbord of seafood blew us away. The ๐—š๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—น๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—ฆ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—บ๐—ผ๐—ป was fabulously flaky, the ๐—™๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ต ๐—™๐—ถ๐—น๐—น๐—ฒ๐˜๐˜€ marvellously moist, the ๐—ž๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐˜„๐—ป๐˜€ captivatingly crunchy and the sublime ๐—ฆ๐—พ๐˜‚๐—ถ๐—ฑ werenโ€™t rubbery at all. Every component was flawless.

We were impressed with the dishes at Miska and itโ€™s hard to pick a favourite. Both platters obviously stood out for their gargantuan serving size and sheer variety, but in terms of taste and innovation, Iโ€™d vote for the Beef Burger Pizza.
