Affordable and reasonable quality, the seafood was fresh though not to say the freshest. The rice is quite drenched in vinegar and sauce. Taste wise is not bad. Worth it with chope 50% voucher. Had a counter seat, quite enjoyable sitting at the counter looking at the chefs in action.

Decided to check Mitsu out given the great promo value of 50% off all alacarte items on @eatigo_sg. The food was of high quality but of tiny portions and even after the discount, we found it hard to justify the prices, let alone paying full price.

Went with two chirashi dons - 𝐊𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐧 𝐃𝐨𝐧 ($38) and 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐤𝐮 𝐃𝐨𝐧 ($58). The former had perfectly creamy uni, juicy ikura, and average fatty tuna belly. The latter featured stingy thin cuts of four sashimi, fresh raw prawn, and a tiny scoop of uni. The rice itself was enjoyably firm but personally found it a tad too heavy in vinegar seasoning. Decent but expected more for the price point.

General portions served were smaller than usual Japanese restaurants.

Ordered the Kaisen Don ($38++) and Bara Chirashi Don ($28++) and the portions were extremely small. Even the rice wasn’t filled evenly and there were gaps around the edges.
It was simply a thin layer of rice with a very small portion of sashimi. Not value for money at all.

The last course of the sumptuous omakase meal was the 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐚 𝐈𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐳𝐮𝐤𝐢 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐢. This is a pretty standard dessert to expect from a Japanese restaurant. The smooth matcha ice cream topped with sweetened azuki red bean paste comes with two soft and chewy mochi. Albeit nothing unique or special, this dessert puts a sweet ending to our enjoyable time at @mitsu.sushibar .

Super love it! I wasn’t expecting a platter of sushi when I opted for their omakase course. Not only was it fresh, sweet and tasty, the sushi will definitely make sure that one leaves @mitsu.sushibar with a happy and full tummy.
