Well executed, you get the flavour of peanut butter without too much of the texture, which is great. The chocolate chips were crispy too. As a peanut butter fan I was very happy with this
Their cone is somewhat thin and very crispy, there's a bit of saltiness and apparently a bit of rosemary? Not too bad
Hazelnut is impressive. Very, very strong flavours. And one of the rare times it's not paired w chocolate so you get to enjoy it in its full glory. Highly recommended
There's a bit of cake like consistency, so it's more dense than normal. Brown butter isn't v perceptible but the sage is very strong. Quite an unusual execution
roasted pistachio ($4.90 + $1 premium + $1 cone)
roasted sesame ($4.90 + $1 cone)
their gelato is deserving of all the raving reviews bc both flavours were so goooood. super creamy, smooth and had a balanced sweetness which i rly appreciate!! roasted pistachio was vv nutty, almost like i was eating the actual nut. more savoury than i was expecting!! preferred the roasted sesame slightly more bc of how robust and earthy it was. literally tasted like black ssm paste except in ice cream form!!! must-try for bssm lovers 💯
as for the cones, BOP’s is unbeatable la but theirs won me over with its buttery flavour and delightfully crisp texture, which lasted throughout even though we took awhile to finish our scoops!! worth the $1 top up 👍🏻
I got Strawberry & Cream and it was super delicious! Soursop & Mint is also popular. The place was packed during peak hour.
After being impressed by the roasted pistachio flavour, we decided to try out the pistachio flavour on this visit! We were similarly wowed by it, as the scoop had a slightly less nutty taste (compared to roasted pistachio), yet it tastes sweeter as well so it all balances out! If you really love the nutty taste, however, go for the roasted pistachio as the taste is a lot more pronounced
Our second flavour was the gianduja flavour, which had a pronounced hazelnut flavour. We loved the sweet and slightly nutty taste from the hazelnuts, although the flavour might be a little rich for some. We thought that there was a slight bitter aftertaste, presumably from the use of dark chocolate, but it was largely overpowered by the hazelnut! 😋
Great ice creams as usual although it was pretty expensive, as we had to fork out $10 for the two scoops since both flavours were considered premium.
