From the Burpple community

"Ooh what is that?" Was my first reaction when I saw pictures of this dish online. That feeling of intrigue quickly changed to aversion when I learned they were pig's ears. Nonetheless, in the spirit of adventure (and love for fried snacks), I decided to give this a try and was duly rewarded. The ears were rather crispy save for a few chewy nibbles of cartilage. All i'd just suggest is that that this snack is more heavily spiced.

Made of salted cod roe and lemon, this dish had a strong tangy kick that also wasn't too fishy. The soft pillows of pita bread went beautifully with the huge serving of this dip.

Don't judge me when I say this is one of the best cheeseburgers I've ever had in my entire life. This burger was simple but everything inside was so well done. The fluffy buns was full of garlic butter flavour, the bacon was thick and streaky, the patty was so juicy and meaty without a hint of fillers, and the sauce -- oh, that secret creamy sauce really sealed the deal.

Lacking 1 point because I saw they used to have a double patty portion but it's now off the menu 😭

Note that this is not redeemable with Burpple beyond (though it seems that they used to be) but I wasn't feeling the mains so I got this anyway. It was worth it. And they have 30% off with chope vouchers 😬

Ordered the Pork Ragu & Roast Chicken & paid $28 for both dishes as the staff said that the burgers were not applicable for Burpple Beyond. However, I saw some reviews that some people used them to redeem burgers. The staff needs to be more consistent in their redemption policy. The food portion was much much smaller than expected, but the Pork Ragu was good. On the other hand, the roast chicken was dry (as expected from most roast chicken) & this dish did not come with any sides at all. Will not come back again as the portion and range of food was not worth the price paid.

Burger was Worth it with Burpple Beyond,
Drinks not so much... had a few drinks (2 All-day Happy Hour house pour and 1 glass each that came with the Burpple meal)

Total damage: ~$66
Breakdown:
Burpple Beyond | Bacon Cheese Burger $16 (1-for-1)
Burpple Beyond | Aperol Spritz $16 (1-for-1)
Happy Hour | $12 Sparkling Wine (Bottega, Prosecco Italy 2018) x2

Review:
Burger had thic juicy patties, brioche buns were pretty special to me but also quickly absorbed the patty oil and became semi-soggy (Tip is to eat fast)
Drinks don’t get la lol, very much preferred the ale I had the previous visit! V smooth, get that instead :-)

Price:
~$40 for 2,
Ild say worth tho there’s literally 5 thick slices

About the food:
Flavour was on point, you’ld have to try it for yourself 🥩

What I’ld go back for (ordered):
double cheese burger ($16), steak ($40 for 2 with BB), IPA beer (comes w steak as part of BB), vibes, deep fried pig ear, bread platter was ok only... can skip
