Potato Mushroom Chicken w Cheddar Quiche ($6.9)

Yay!! Back to Mother dough for their delicious Quiche!
This quiche was filled with generous mushroom and chicken sausages !

Warning : LONG Q even before 11am (operating hour)!
All worth it for delicious bakes!

I love motherdough!! They never disappoint. Would have enjoyed it better fresh, but the choc especially was of v good quality. It’s really worth the price wuhu

With harissa, arugula and smoked cheddar on wholewheat sourdough, this is the best grilled cheese toastie I’ve had in MONTHS.... This winning combination was so damn delicious I had to go back a second time in a week.

Few things to note: (1) Mother Dough does these toasties only on weekends (from Fri-Sun) and the flavours change monthly. (2) The bakery cafe is quite small and sits about 12 indoors and 6 outdoors, and it gets overwhelming crowded at times. (3) Popular breads and pastries do get sold out fast!

Definitely not for the faint hearted, but you will be duly rewarded so plan your pilgrimage well!!

They also have a smallish almond croissant ($4.20) that is slightly smaller. Anyway this croissant is huge and filling.

The surface of the croissant is crunchy and crusted with almond. It is generously filled with almond frangipane that is not sweet - which I like. This is not an airy and flaky croissant, unlike their plain croissant, but both I love.

Definitely much much much nicer than the overrated TBR bakery’s almond croissant - which I don’t get, at all.

Hazelnut Gianduja (Sweet chocolate spread with 30% hazelnut paste) Escargot ($6.50)
- Same buttery crisp pastry but a lot more densed and glazed with sweet syrup on top
- Bits of hazelnut spread distributed throughout pastry but tad bit too little near the edges of the pastry
- Hazelnut chocolate not too cloying but the buttery pastry may be overly rich after awhile
Overall, kind of like eating a pain au chocolat but with smooth hazelnut spread instead of chocolate
Taste: 7.5/10
Price: 5/10
Overall: 6/10

Croissant ($4)
Much crunchier, slight charred taste on the outside
Inside is slightly less moist and buttery compared to Brotherbird Milk & Croissant
Much airier and fluffier on the inside; Bakery brera still the airiest though
For $4, I must say this croissant is much bigger than the rest I've had
Taste: 8.5/10
Price: 7/10
Overall: 7.5/10
