This was part of their July weekend specials! It was quite coconutty bc of the coco strips. But not much ginger flavours. The coco pudding had a nice consistency that didn’t taste floury but still thick / not runny. Fresh pineapples were sweet!! The Danish was crisp and rather delish after a quick toast. I would say that this is nice but I think $9 is kinda exorbitant.

This has a nice tang, with a pleasant rosemary herbiness. Crumb is v moist. It looks like it's almost too wet/gummy, but it really isn't and what you get is a soft, hydrated sourdough. The soft but firm cubed potato gives a textural contrast. Crust is also good! Toasting it crisps up the surface, and makes its more yummy. There are some garlic bits in the sourdough but it would be better if it was more prominent/pungent; the potato & rosemary were more distinct in this garlic potato rosemary loaf. Nonetheless, we still enjoyed it very much :-)

ALSO this lasted from sat to wed and still didn't dry out / get mouldy. Quite impressed bc some other sourdoughs dry out quite quickly / get mouldy by the third day.

The kubaneh was a pretty enriched, layered bread with some nigella seeds that gives a subtle nutty, smokey flavour. It looks and tastes deceptively like sesame seeds but there's slightly more complexity in the taste. I found that the flavour developed more over time, and it tasted nicer on the 2nd/3rd day compared to having it fresh. The bread is really nice already but what really elevated it was the ZHOUG (a spicy cilantro sauce from Yemen). The zhoug was really flavourful and herby and warm, and the spice kick (it's a manageable level of spiciness) hits you at the back. They gave us 2 tubs to go with the kubaneh but I wish there was more because it was so yummy!! My fav purchase for this modo trip🤘🏼

Good cinnamon bun. I’m a cinnamon hater and i liked this

Atas curry puff in short. Flaky pastry. Wouldn’t mind a bit more filling. Price is steep though. . .

Tasted like the description. Even the egg was good - like ramen egg with the slightly gooey centre.

Best of my “July weekend specials” buy - I got their coconut-ginger pudding pineapple danish, chestnut profiterole, dark choc coconut tart and choc brioche too.

Tasty but disappointed with the rest of my buys other than the sweet and savoury weekend specials danishes.
