Second time buying this. This is one big ass cookie that is almost as wide as their chocolate croissant. It is slightly crunchier than I would have like this time round (I prefer chewy to crunchy cookie) but the flavours are good.

It is a very rich, very chocolately cookie with generous amount of sea salt sprinkled on top. You can taste molten chocolate, dark chocolate cookie and salt in very bite. A perfect treat for dark chocoholics.

The croissant is incredibly flaky on the outside and very soft on the inside. It tasted fantastic even without heating up - you know almost all savoury croissants taste good heated up but this doesn’t even need that.

The filling is surprisingly spicy and taste good. The filling is not a lot compared to the size of the croissant (which is huge) and I like that because the highlight to me is the croissant.

The same goes for their chocolate croissant. I like that it does not have big glob of nauseatingly sweet chocolate filling or Nutella (ew no!) inside.

I like that they do sourdough bakes and have tried their plain, chocolate, almond, mushroom croissants. Nothing else in Singapore compares.

I’m not a fan of lemon or sour cakes, but my colleague is. Fortunately for me, the cake itself is not sour. It’s a soft, moist, dense pound cake with a strong lemon fragrance but with a slight zest. The sourness actually comes from the icing, which I’d recommend rationing out over the cake because it is pretty sour.

Overall, for $4.50, I wouldn’t buy this again although the cake itself was nice. I’d much rather spend that money on their signature almond croissants.
