Omg the Hazelnut Royale Pancake has quietly made its way back to Mr Bean! I have seen this at a few outlets sporadically but the it’s finally back in full force at the NUH outlet. I love the spongey-soft pancake which encases a thick and rich hazelnut filling. It’s full of Nutella-like chocolatey hazelnut goodness, with some crunchy bits inside! If you love Nutella or chocolate, be sure to pick this pancake up! Here’s to hoping that this flavour stays on the permanent menu this time!

Caved while walking back from buying lunch at [email protected] Ridge and I got myself the soy ice cream cone from Mr Bean. It’s only $1.80, but there’s a 10% NUH staff discount too so you can get a cone for $1.60 which is such a steal.

Texture of the soft serve at this outlet is always on point. Today’s one was a little harder than usual, but that was good to withstand the heat and it didn’t melt as quickly as I was walking back to the office. Best option for a guilt-free but super yummy treat as always!

Some of the newer items of the menu are the cheesy pancakes made with wholemeal batter. They come in a variety of flavours including Oreo and hazelnut.

I was a bit iffy about the sweet-savoury combination of Oreo and cheese, but decided to try it anyway. Turns out I had nothing to worry about as the combination goes together quite well! The Oreo filling is more pasty and wet, but not overly sweet as it’s likely just the crushed Oreo biscuits sans cream. The cream cheese is thick and they are pretty generous with it, a good amount to balance out the sweetness of the Oreo filling. I also love the wholemeal pancake, and you can see the grains studding the pancake. So good. Has a slightly more healthful taste than the regular pancakes, but with the fillings inside, I don’t think the difference is that discernible.

Would order this again or try the hazelnut one! There’s also a kimchi mayo one apparently if that suits your tastebuds more.
