Some of the newer items of the menu are the cheesy pancakes made with wholemeal batter. They come in a variety of flavours including Oreo and hazelnut.

I was a bit iffy about the sweet-savoury combination of Oreo and cheese, but decided to try it anyway. Turns out I had nothing to worry about as the combination goes together quite well! The Oreo filling is more pasty and wet, but not overly sweet as it’s likely just the crushed Oreo biscuits sans cream. The cream cheese is thick and they are pretty generous with it, a good amount to balance out the sweetness of the Oreo filling. I also love the wholemeal pancake, and you can see the grains studding the pancake. So good. Has a slightly more healthful taste than the regular pancakes, but with the fillings inside, I don’t think the difference is that discernible.

Would order this again or try the hazelnut one! There’s also a kimchi mayo one apparently if that suits your tastebuds more.

This is my favourite dessert option around Kent Ridge. I love soya bean and this ice cream carries a hint of it, plus, since it’s made from soy, it’s more healthy and less sinful than regular soft serve. It’s a really affordable treat at $1.80 as well. Consistency of the ice cream does vary from outlet to outlet as some turn out more frozen-slush than others (like the Raffles Exchange outlet), but the one at NUH has always been pretty much like soft serve every time I’ve visited. Their cones are probably from a supplier but I do love how fragrant they are, and I always buy the cones because they’re the best part of any ice cream.

If you’re looking for a healthier dessert choice, this is it! :)
