Love the Kaya which is the nostalgic kind sold in a plastic cup. Peanut was okay but again it was cold and not crispy

My advice is just take what ever is fresh, dont choose the filling

Still chewy and cheese was mild with a slight savoury hint. Quite like it but it was cold, if it were crispy would have been much better

Chocolate always wins my heart. I like starting from the tail, enjoying the chewiness and mild sweetness of the plain dough, and munching towards the body, where the fillings are.

The taiyaki fillings tend to be concentrated in the middle, so the edges are just pancake kosong. The cream cheese is thick and just salty enough to balance out the slightly sweet pancake. Might work a bit better if the cream cheese were spread out more evenly, but it’s easy enough to take a mouthful of the edge and eat some of the cream cheese.

MUST pick up every time I’m around Ngee Ann City. So good especially when you get a bite with both the peanut butter and mochi with creamy, chewy and cakey texture all in one mouthful.

Probably the most expensive item at Mr Obanyaki - the mochi taiyaki is available with two different fillings (red bean and cream cheese).

I personally don’t like this very much as I feel the mochi is a tad too soft and sticky for my liking. The taiyaki is quite flimsy and tends to flop about. However, my mom absolutely loves the mochi taiyaki and thinks it’s the best flavour out of all the taiyaki and Obanyaki available. If you like chewy and sticky mochi, give this a try.
