The hard kind of crispy, not very crispy though. The potatoes inside were mildly flavoured, just like the almost tasteless green sauce. The other gravy was as good as ever

Overall it's good not great

Is really like a uttapam, with holes and somewhat dense, except this has a strong crisp below that slowly disappears as you eat, better to share.

The powder was alright, so was the lentil dhal, but the white sauce wasn't very impressive.

Overall here it's more like a restaurant, the space is very clean, the menus are huge with big pictures, and there is English. Most surprising, service was incredibly proficient and attentive. A great place for people who love Indian food but not so familiar with this area yet

Absolutely love this dish, rice flour ‘rotis’ delicately flavored with green chilies, jeera, onion and curry leaves served with coconut peanut chutney. Only available Tuesdays and Fridays dinner and often sold out if you get there late. This dish usually takes more time to be served an indication that’s it being prepared authentically. Other honorable mentions - boonda soup, rava dosa and the ragi onion uttappam

My favourite dosa here so far on my second visit to MTR has got to be the Pudi Masala Dosa - a delightly crispy and fluffy pancake schmeared with lipsmacking ghee and dusted with chutney powder. The spiced potato dollop on top was so flavour-packed, I wish there were more.

No two sides to this, MTR’s famed Masala Dosa rightly deserves its reputation and is probably the best version I’ve had to date. The outside remained crisp throughout the meal, and has an almost umami-like, brown butter taste(which I suspect comes from ghee), and the fluffy potatoes inside are subtly spiced and light on the stomach. Beautiful.

Popular in South India, these lentil donuts are fried, but also soft and cushiony on the inside - perfect for soaking up the savoury sambhar stew its sitting in. The latter is a mild lentil vegetable stew that's slightly sweet and full of the flavour of spices.
