Behind every bowl of Mui Kee congee lies a heritage as rich as its flavour. Its humble origins date back to 1979 where founder Mak Mui opened Mui Kee in a small corner stall in Mong Kok, Hong Kong. Today, Mui Kee Congee is helmed by her grandson, Ah Tung. Using recipes and cooking techniques which have been passed down through three generations, every scoop of silky smooth congee is filled with old school ingenuity.

Finally here to try the famous Cantonese Congee from
Hong Kong!

Here’s what we ordered...
Parrot Fish Belly Congee + Homemade Pork Meatballs
Drunken Chicken in Shaoxing Wine

HK Milk Tea

You won’t be disappointed at all with this combo for 2 👍. Their congee was delicious of course but special mention goes out to their Drunken Chicken dish too. Their HK milk tea reminds me of the ones I had in HK too 😊

Thick mushrooms and velvety smooth mushrooms 🍄 and handmade noodles of texture so fine . You will never get noodles these good anywhere else .

Accompanied with a soup that’s full of umami .

The best bowl of noodles I can possibly say I have eaten ever since I knew food .

Very touched .

Finally get to try the legendary wok hei congee. It didn’t disappoint me, it’s really wok hei gao gao. Very smooth, the fish slices are fresh.


Not your usual starchy tasteless congee. The flavours were subtly sweet but flavourful enough.

Generous bowl of porridge with huge slices of fish. And surprisingly it had wok hey flavour in it!

Most people recommend the Parrot Fish porridge which is nice in its own right but I didn't like the actual fish that much with bones in it. We splurged on the Alaskan crab porridge whereby the crab legs were really sweet and the porridge full of the seafood-y goodness! Also the pork liver was amazingly cooked whereby the texture was perfect and very well seasoned😋😋
