The popiah skin was thin enough, and I liked the crispy bits which gave a nice crunch. It actually tasted quite clean and not too heavy, but the turnips could have been slightly juicier. Overall, a pretty good popiah with good proportions of skin, sauce and ingredients! Also, the chili version is apparently very spicy according to my friend, so opt for the non-spicy version if you have a low spice tolerance.

The best Kueh Pie Tie I’ve had! The cup is so crispy and fragrant. Love how we can DIY our own Kueh Pie Tie with how much chilli 🌶 or coriander leaves

I went because I love popiah and this is lauded as the best in Singapore?

Popiah with turnips, lots of bean sprouts, lots of eggs, peanuts, crispy bits and fried shallots. I like the soft popiah skin, the crunch from the crispy elements and that it was not wet/soggy, which is good as I hate wet popiah.

The unique thing about their popiah are the fried shallots - I don’t see fried shallots in popiah elsewhere - and chilli - which tasted like chicken rice chilli.

It was a 30 minute wait on a weekend afternoon. The popiah is nice but I wouldn’t wait 30 minutes for it again. There are other comparable popiah places in Singapore.

I love cosy corner popiah; not the best after it’s been dabao’ed, but brings back memories of queuing up in the cramped (but it’s a cosy corner!) space.

Set of 6 Kueh Pie Tie that you DIY the filling/coriander/chilli. The golden cups are so crispy! Turnips filling is generous. Really tasty 👍🏻

I’ve been eating popiah from My Cosy Corner for about 6 years now since I moved into the area. The popiah ($2.50) here is a fan favourite and it’s not hard to see why. The chewy popiah skin is lashed with fiery Nonya sambal and garlic, then topped with bungkwang (chinese turnip), crumbled egg and crispy rice. Every order is made fresh, so my advice if you’re taking this away, is to make a beeline here to place your order, then run your errands around the shopping centre - you know, groceries from NTUC, pet supplies from Pet Lovers etc. Then return to collect.
