Despite the lackluster cone, Naganuma Ice’s Crème Brûlée Rich Milk Soft Serve ($8) was quite a hit for me. Exclusive to Singapore, it is first filled two-thirds with your ice cream of choice then a thick layer of creamy custard is slapped on, dusted with brown sugar and torched to a perfect glassy crust. Thus, for Hokkaido Milk fans go straight for their recommended pairing where underneath the crispy layer and buttery sweet goodness hides the signature Rich Milk soft serve. Though mostly melted, it delivered a cooling contrast as well as a lingering dairy aroma.
the creme brûlée was underwhelming; merely grainy custard topped with torched brown sugar but the hokkaido milk soft serve wasn’t bad at all! very rich and not too sweet, it was much like milk in soft serve form.

accidentally subscribed to @burpple beyond’s $9.90 monthly plan while trying to find their free month trial option, and it turned out to be money well spent! this creme brûlée cone costs $8 but we got it at one for one with burpple beyond. for dinner we also bought two $16 sandwiches for the price of one so just tonight alone that’s $14.10 saved!
Rich, creamy and fragrant Hokkaido milk soft serves for sunny days (or any day, really).
