Walked past Nam Kee Pau at about 7:15pm and there were still quite a number of paus left. When I went back at 8:25pm, the paus were almost sold out.

Steaming hot fluffy paus is one of my favourite things; I love munching on paus since young, and I love a steamed pau piping hot from a steamer rack!

The skin of the paus was quite soft, and fluffy. Didn't stick to my teeth.

Char siew filling was juicy, sweet and savoury. Barbecued pork was lean and amount of filling was generous. IMO, the thick, sticky char siew sauce was a tad salty though. Just a tad.

For the tau sar pau, the dark-coloured candied red bean paste was thick, concentrated and quite smooth. Not too sweet.

Ever since Singapore Bao (Bendemeer Mkt & Food Centre) stopped selling tau sar pau, I have been searching for good tau sar paus.

Nam Kee char siew and tau sar pau(s) are a notch/2 above average. Not the best, but still quite satisfying.
