Too much leek. Too much. Eat until scared of the world Negi already. Soup is also too rich.

ramen was good, opted for the soft texture for the noodles

broth was pork soup with garlic oil. garlic taste not that prominent but it’s good
doesn’t come with egg, have to add on separately

Hidden on the seventh floor of orchard central, this ramen stall doesn’t enjoy the footfall of some of its competitors in orchard. So it means something when the place is fully packed during lunchtime. The broth here is thick and rich and that black garlic oil gives it an umami kick. And who can resist 1-for-1 beers at $9 to douse the heat from that piping hot ramen. Definitely one of the best value for money ramens around.

Nantsuttei is well known for its black mayu or garlic oil broth. If you like a strong, flavourful ramen broth topped with a generous amount of beansprouts, this may be something for you. Service is good and prompt even on a busy weekend.

Nantsuttei uses pork bone broth topped with roasted garlic oil as it's soup base. Although the flavour of the pork wasn't very obvious (and we felt could be brought out a little more), we loved the fragrance and slightly charred taste of the garlic oil used. We requested for hard noodles and the noodles were indeed firm and served as per our request. 😁

We expected the Japan (aka large) size to be only slightly larger than the regular size but the bowl was surprisingly much larger than we expected! We suggest to upsize only if you are hungry or if you are a big eater, because the generous portion of noodles can really fill you up! Nonetheless, the $12++ price tag for the large bowl is really affordable and the attractive price point is certainly a factor that will bring us back to Nantsuttei again!

Ramen and Cha siew was super tasty , it’s a hearty meal 🥰 I added a hard boil egg for ($1.60)
