4 pieces of chashu, lots of shredded leeks, spring onions and bean sprouts in tonkutso broth with roasted garlic oil. I added ramen egg $1.50++ - which is nicely cooked but I feel not necessary to add-on as there are plenty of ingredients.

The noodles are nicely cooked. I like the noodles. I love that there are plenty of veggies in my noodles. It provides a much needed balance to the rich broth and adds a nice crunch to the dish. The broth is “japan style salty”.

The chashu is my least favourite component. It’s ok - some parts are abit dry, some good, some are average. But mostly it’s just okay.

Above average ramen place.

A decent bowl of ramen offering rich tonkotsu broth with a splash of black garlic oil. Charsiu wasn't my favourite- limp and lacking in flavour. The straight noodle had a good bite though (I requested for "hard"). The regular size is good enough without making me feel too bloated after the meal. Won't be the first ramen shop that comes across my mind but don't mind going back if I'm in the area without specific dinner plans.


My favorite ramen to have in town, thick and robust broth accompanied with the aroma from the garlic oil 🔥 Customers are also able to enjoy a Regular Size ($12.90++) and a Japan Size ($15.90++). Only downside... no free eggs 🤪

3 types of noodles texture for you to choose from and I went for the hard one and the noodle is pretty springy...

Like the pork garlic oil soup base, the soup is kinda rich and it feels like your lips are sticky after finishing it, but it’s tasty!

Fret not, the spiciness is acceptable, but for ppl who can’t take spicy stuff, suggest to just go for their non-spicy ramen...

Not the first time here, and also won’t be the last time here, decent ramen to-go place...

You never get enough of good ramen, and this Maru-Toku Negi Chashu ramen was great. The noodles were well cooked, and the crunchiness of the negi and bean sprouts made for a great mixed texture. However, the chashu was cooked a tad uneven, with parts rendered too dry.
Its true charm was in the flavourful and thick tonkotsu broth though. Loaded with roasted garlic oil, it was wave after wave of umami, accompanied by a potent (but not overpowering) aroma. The sharpness of the negi also negated some of the heaviness, making it palatable till the last drop.

Hidden away at Level 7 of Orchard Central, @nantsutteii_singapore shouldn’t exactly sound foreign to you since it’s known to serve one of the best ramens in Singapore.

Offering a rich, creamy tonkotsu broth, its iconic component that floats on the surface of the soup is the fragrant black ma-yu (roast garlic oil). This blend actually elevated the standard tonkotsu broth to another level! The chashu slices were also well-marinated and managed to soak up the essence of the broth. With a generous topping of fresh white shredded negi and chopped green negi, they went pretty well with the broth and added that extra crunchy texture. A satisfying bowl indeed ☺️.
