With its late night dinner and bar bites offerings and very comprehensive drinks menu, Nassim Hill, nestled in the Tanglin Post Office building, brings new energy and excitement to the downtown dining and bar scene. With its extensive drinks list that includes a variety of beers on tap, wines, whiskies, boutique malts, champagnes, spirits, liquors and cocktails, Nassim Hill becomes the perfect spot for the ultimate pairing between great cuisine and drinks. Taking centre stage is an enormous marble counter that seats up to 20 something one might find in a medieval tavern. Customers in Nassim Hill are encouraged to share dining space and mingle at the counter and the communal tables, and tap their own draught beers at the end of the counter, where the taps are located. The bar also serves its unique all-day signature cocktails such as Yuzu Breeze or Dirty Sriracha Bloody Mary and has the longest happy hour in town for draught beer pints from 9 am to 9 pm. The bistro is also well known for its famed malt-flavored Stout beer bread, used in their signature Hot Reuben sandwich. Taking a spin on classic dishes, the bistro also offers Spicy Eggs Benedict and Chili Crab pasta as well as healthier alternatives such as their generously sized Detox Salad, The Nutty Bird and Asian Chicken salads. Looks like a normal plain chocolate cake but looks are definitely deceiving! This rich chocolate stout cake was so soft and moist; and was totally not ‘jerlat’ even after a full meal! It had a cream cheese icing layer on top and the cake went really well with the vanilla ice cream together with the warm stout infused chocolate sauce! Definitely coming back for more 😋

Taking advantage of Chope’s March offer at Nassim Hill Bistro: 1-for-1 pastas (full portion)! The tiger prawns aglio olio spaghetti was tasty + spicy; prawns were fresh and succulent. The Pappardelle Meat Ragu was tomato based and had a rich meaty flavour (oxtail, pork shoulder & minced beef cooked in red wine). The pastas were done al-dente as well. They also had a happy hour promo: 1-for-1 for their beer on tap!

Try the chili crab pasta (Available in half/full portion ($16/$23), a delicious amalgamation of East meets West. Plump crab meat, creamy spicy and tangy chilli crab sauce dolloped on strands of al dente spaghetti Be aware of chilli padi’s hiding amongst the sauce if you don’t want to be belching fireballs.

Seems like the price increased and the jumbo crab meat was less than what I expected from what I've seen in other pics.

The thing I love about chili crab pasta is that u can't just dump chili crab sauce over pasta. Theres a process of adapting the sauce to fit a pasta dish and thus every place does it (quite) differently. This certainly has some heat lol I could feel it despite asking for no chili padi. Despite the tanginess and the eggs it's still quite different from the original sauce but I did enjoy it. The pasta was al dente and while the crab meat in the sauce itself doesn't come through, the jumbo crab meat was succulent and sweet

Upgrade your usual weekend brunch with Nassim Hill’s Cheddar Cheese Bacon Waffles ($19). Think savoury waffles with cheese and bacon bits baked in with the sweet batter. A cheesy carbalicious delight with crusty, slightly charred edges and a fool-proof salty-sweet combination. The plate also has a side of bacon, because who says no to more bacon and a saucer of chive sour cream to balance the heavier flavours. However, thinly crisp all the way through, it might come off quite dry so I made things better with an extra portion of soft scrambled eggs.

this is the chili crab pasta from @nassimhillbakery. Not usually a fan of fusion cuisine but I was pretty impressed by this dish. The pasta was cooked al-dente and the chili crab sauce wow-ed with a fiery punch of heat. drops of sweat were beading on my forehead as i slurped up every bit of the delicious gravy. it didn’t help that there were slices of chili padi hidden within the sauce - pain is pleasure indeed.
apart from the generous amount of crabmeat as seen in the picture, there were also bits of crabmeat within the sauce giving it a lovely texture and consistency. there is a tinge of sweetness to balance out the heat, but there’s no denying that this dish is hot!
while i would have liked a thicker pasta like linguine/tagliatelle which would hold the sauce better, this dish still ranks as one of the better pastas in my books!


The pasta was cooked well with just the right amount of bite and was generously served with a copious amount fresh crab meat. The chili sauce was flavorful and came with a pretty spicy kick.

I would've ideally preferred the pasta to be a tagliatelle or fettuccine to allow a greater surface area for the sauce but it's still something I would order again when I next visit.

Bruch was complete with a Po' Boy Sandwich and a flat white from @nassimhillbakery ! Focaccia, oven-baked bread which can be compared to the texture of a pizza was stuffed with thin slices of honey baked ham accompanied with Sun Dried Tomato Cheddar with a few fresh grilled shrimp and other vege and tomatos!

Ingredients tasted fresh and the wood-like interior/ atmosphere brings about a rustic dinning experience!

Crispy yet chewy, fluffy yet substantial, these are a great way to end any meal. Their vanilla ice cream is also very much on point, with specks of vanilla swirled in.

The fusion of local flavours in pastas is not uncommon but what's a real good chili crab pasta? Here's the answer. Tangy, spicy chili crab sauce drenched over a huge portion of spaghetti without overpowering flavour despite its thick creamy texture. I would have liked it even better if it was linguine, for a better blend with the chili crab sauce. The addition of chili padi surely packed a punch. And look at those white succulent crab meat, to describe them as "jumbo lumps" on their menu, it's really not exaggerating at all. Available in half/full portion ($16/$23). Chilli crab pastas usually disappoint with sad, lackluster sauces but their rendition definitely packs a punch! 🔥

This isn't for the faint hearted but if you've got an appreciation for spice, this will be right up your alley. Chunky pieces of crab on top of al dente pasta just sweetens the deal. 😛

Grilled Cajun chicken breast, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, almonds, toasted buckwheat, roasted butternut squash and beets, corn, grilled balsamic mushrooms, cranberries, mesclun green with a basil chimichurri dressing.

Many textures and flavors within this massive colorful bowl! Every component taste great on its own, better together when you mix well with the dressing. Taste of pesto is amazing and the dressing is more of the paste-y consistency rather than the viscous vinaigrette. Be warned that this is enough to be a meal for one, or order to share as a side! :)
