With its late night dinner and bar bites offerings and very comprehensive drinks menu, Nassim Hill, nestled in the Tanglin Post Office building, brings new energy and excitement to the downtown dining and bar scene. With its extensive drinks list that includes a variety of beers on tap, wines, whiskies, boutique malts, champagnes, spirits, liquors and cocktails, Nassim Hill becomes the perfect spot for the ultimate pairing between great cuisine and drinks. Taking centre stage is an enormous marble counter that seats up to 20 something one might find in a medieval tavern. Customers in Nassim Hill are encouraged to share dining space and mingle at the counter and the communal tables, and tap their own draught beers at the end of the counter, where the taps are located. The bar also serves its unique all-day signature cocktails such as Yuzu Breeze or Dirty Sriracha Bloody Mary and has the longest happy hour in town for draught beer pints from 9 am to 9 pm. The bistro is also well known for its famed malt-flavored Stout beer bread, used in their signature Hot Reuben sandwich. Taking a spin on classic dishes, the bistro also offers Spicy Eggs Benedict and Chili Crab pasta as well as healthier alternatives such as their generously sized Detox Salad, The Nutty Bird and Asian Chicken salads. All eggs used are antibiotic and hormone free. If you are interested in holding your event, birthday or wedding at Nassim Hill, please contact [email protected]

Steak with 2 sunny side-ups, with house-made entrecôte sauce. I got medium but I thought it was slightly tough. I should have opted for medium rare. I found the portion very sufficient, and I was so pleasantly surprised to find that the egg yolks were so runny!

The ambience of the bistro was lovely too - quiet and romantic for a date and cosy enough for intimate gatherings with close friends.

I was quite excited to try their 'signature' Belgian waffles as I really enjoyed crispy Belgian waffles in Brussels. However, these kinda disappointed me as they tasted way too yeasty and they couldn't blend the sweet-and-salty taste well. The strips of bacon were also dry and stale? That said, the chive sour cream sauce was tasty and thick -- it /almost/ saved the dish by smothering it...

Overall ®️: 6/10 The ambience is pretty nice here and I felt like I was transported out of Singapore with its spacious floor plan and stained glass windows. Can't really say the food was very good nor bad but what I tried out of the breakfast menu (before 11am) didn't impress. Perhaps I'll try their dinner menu next time...

This was enjoyable but not memorable. It included a 150g piece of steak that was thick enough and only had a bit of gristle but I wouldn't have ordered this if I had access to the lunch menu (they have very limited choices before 11am).

Waffles were crispy on the outside and soft inside! It was quite oily due to the bacon but was super delicious with the cheddar cheese and bacon bits in the waffles! Also came with a few strips of bacon at the side which were super crispy! Sour cream was given too!

Desserts and bakes here are drool worthy, and thats what prompted me to take a trip there! 🤤

Brioche Donuts: Ordered one each of the chocolate & kaya to try, the chocolate leans towards dark chocolate which I don’t prefer but the kaya one was an absolute delight! Kaya itself is cold which I find it more enjoyable and delightful!

By the time we were done with the meal it was almost 2pm and some bakes were sold out, the kitchen were preparing to roll out new batches.

Head there early and place your takeaway orders with them during your meal to avoid disappointment!

Kaya Fluff Cake: Home made kaya between these chiffon layers, cream cheese frosting with toasted coconut flakes and pumpkin seeds. Homemade kaya light, fragrant and not sickly sweet - it does leave an impression on me.
