Throw back to last Saturday where @TongHengSg had a booth at @NatMuseum_Sg where it was celebrating Grandparents’ Day with @FamiliesForLife
The booth was offering Egg 🥚 Tart, Candied Melon (Wife) Pastry and Green Bean Paste Pastry at S$1 per piece. Cheaper than retail prices.
My favourite was the rich and buttery egg tart.

Love their basic and full works here at Food For Thought! Basic Works consists of scrambled eggs, toast, bacon and add on mushrooms ($13). Had their mixed berries pancakes ($14) too. Feeling famished at first and after that so full. Nice brunch. 🙂 Food portion here is great and if you have eatigo, you can enjoy some discounts.

Makcik Burger (S$9.50)
Served with mash and coleslaw
Available at @MakcikChicken booth in @NatMuseum_SG
It was like chicken rice served in burger form, with the rice as the bun, with red chilli sauce spread on, plus chicken, coriander, tomato, shredded cucumber, garlic chicken sauce and hanjuku egg sauce stacked between. The chilli sauce was shiok. Not too spicy but quite tangy. Couldn't get enough.
Accompanied with Original Coconut Shake (S$5) by @CocoShakeBay
The shake was rich and milky without too sweet, but the weather was so hot that it was all melted down within a short time.

Couldn't help but get some tutu kueh (even tho not hungry) and just sat down to absorb the dreamy/nostalgic vibes 😍 So so so pretty. The gorgeous fairy lights, old school lamps, sitting on the manicured front lawn under the night sky with cars zipping by on the right / museum facade on the left. Somehow the old and the new came together so perfectly. If this is what the 60s feel like we gotta bring it back! #超有feel

'A Taste of Heritage' kicked started SG Heritage Fest 2016. Apart from celebrating street food culture, it is to relive the scenes and memories of how food stalls used to line the grounds of the museum in 1960s. Some of the stalls present at the fest include Springleaf Prata Place, Tian Tian Chicken Rice, Good Chance Popiah, Tong Heng, Tan's Tutu Kueh, etc. Find them at the front lawn of National Museum of Singapore which was beautifully decorated, from 6-10pm, 29-30 April 2016. Check out the other events happening around too, from performances, exhibitions to ghost story telling sessions!
