$9.90 for Salmon bowl (+$1 for the onsen egg). Base of the bowl includes pumpkin, mixed Quinoa + brown rice and few pieces of romaine lettuce. I chose spicy broccoli and carrots for the 2 toppings and skipped the dressing. It taste very good even without the dressing. I will definitely return and try the Portobello with cheese!

What a nice surprise! Usually quinoa bowls are pretty expensive, but this place serves up a really healthy (geddit) portion of grains, protein and veg at a pretty reasonable price ($7.90 for cajun chicken / portobello mushroom + cheese options, $9.90 for the baked salmon one). Quite often when I have veg bowls, I get pretty peckish some hours afterwards, but this left me full for a really long while.

Plus, I’ve had salad bowls that are way too light on the protein portion (i.e. I’m finished with the meat / mushrooms before even getting through half the bowls) and that’s always irritating. Really glad to say that the bowls served here aren’t like that - they really don’t skimp on any of the ingredients, or try to make it seem fuller with ‘filler’ leafy vegetables or anything like that.

The thing about this place is that there’s nowhere to sit, and that it’s also a reasonably popular lunch joint. So if you go down, expect to stand around waiting for about 5 mins or so - and you’ll have to head off after that. But still, if you’re looking to drop by and grab something quick, delicious and relatively good for you, you can’t go wrong here!

In line with their concept of providing healthy foods, Nature's Nutrition started a grain bowl take-out alongside their retail corner selling organic, nutritious food products (e.g. manuka honey and chia seeds). Choose from one of the three proteins (chicken/salmon/tofu) to go with the standard base (quinoa & brown rice) and toppings (lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, apples, and pumpkin). I love that they mixed seeds and dried fruits into their base for an added crunch and sweetness, and the oh-so tender chicken that was prepared sous-vide. Top up $3 for a refreshing bottle of their made-in-house kombucha to complete the meal.

Nature’s Nutrition is an online marketplace for healthy foods and they’ve opened up a takeaway stall selling grain bowls and kombucha in Aperia Mall (beside Cold Storage)! Seems quite popular with the lunch crowd looking for a tasty but clean meal.

I got the Baked Salmon Bowl that came with a quinoa base, tender chunks of pumpkin, cherry tomatoes, romaine and small apple and cucumber cubes. Whew, but there’s even more mixed in; pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries and apricots, keeping every mouthful exciting. The salmon caught me off guard too, being really moist and seasoned perfectly with a bit of spice. I’m no kombucha (+$3/set) expert, but their original is pretty accessible; not too sour and very refreshing. Definitely wouldn’t mind coming back for more on those days when the food guilt sets in. 😂
