If you are still deciding on where to eat for dinner tonight, why not make a trip down to Naughty Pigs at Tanjong Katong Road. This slab of Naughty Ribs absolutely blow my mind away and at $18 with two sides (fries, coleslaw, rice, mash potato, baked beans), it is super affordable. The pork ribs are painstakingly massaged, slow-cooked and flamed to produce this wonder charred flavour but what sets them apart is the marinate that they used. There is a balance proportion of plump and lean meat, and the meat falls off the bone so easily. With a squeeze of lime, your ribs are ready to be devoured. Oink 🐷

$11. With fries and coleslaw. These 2 sides need to top-up $2 each.

Chanced upon this unique BBQ joint, one of the many new-ish eateries along the Tanjong Katong Rd stretch and this place was packed to the rafters on a Saturday night. Naturally I had to come back the next day to give it a try! Supposedly hand massaged, then slow cooked for hours, the succulent meat is tender and fall-of-the-bone, with nary a hint of gristle. The bbq glaze shines(literally and figuratively) with flavoursome, expertly spiced tanginess. The wedge of lime squeezed over is a stroke of genius that simultaneously served to cut through the richness and added a zesty sweetness to the meat when combined with the glaze. I was a little disappointed that fries and coleslaw are considered premium sides here at the cost of an additional $2 each. Free sides include only mash, salad and rice(can't confirm on this). Although primarily a BBQ house, this establishment also curiously enough serves a smattering of Asian dishes such as crispy tofu, eggplant with salted fish and minced pork, and baked rice. One thing you have to try is the chicken rice style chilli sauce and the Naughty Chilli sauce with your ribs. Weird, but it works! $18 for the ribs.

Everything on the menu had the word naughty and the word looked weird to me after awhile. ANYWAY, ordered the ribs and pork collar (I liked the pork collar best!) Photo doesn't do it justice. Perfectly grilled, nicely charred, juicy and tasty marination. My pork collar kinda reminded me of charsiew. Chose salad & mash potato (not mashy but it was so tasty and peppery) although the portion was quite small. Best of all, no service charge. Will probably be back to try the others!

The only naughty thing about this place is its ability to keep you coming back for more of their signature BBQ ribs and premium cut specialties. Their Naughty Ribs, Naughty Collar, Naughty Buddy (pork chop) and the like are tender, juicy, well-grilled and thoroughly flavoured with their signature marinade. Prices of mains range from $9 for the Naughty Belly to $18 for the Naughty Ribs, all of which come with Naughty Rice and greens. The ideal go-to place for a casual dining experience with premium-quality food!

Different pork parts. Same "kicap manis" based marinade. Overall, a delicious experience. Everything we had, the Naughty Ribs ($18), Naughty Belly (pictured) and Naughty Pork Collar ($11), they were all juicy, saturated in the signature marinade and grilled well. Each was served with a small portion of rice and fresh salad. My favourite of all was the Pork Collar - that's the one I would return for.
With its spacious, open concept layout, this casual eatery is a good place in the East to indulge in meats with an Asian touch.
