Now the differences between buying these fries ala carte instead of paying more for a set (fries + drink) to go with your burgers is: you get more fries, and you get a special dip - choose between Truffle Mayo, Spicy Mayo, Cheese Sauce, or House Tartar. The fries that come with the normal set just comes with the classic ketchup and/or chilli.

We chose the Truffle Mayo and it was surprisingly amazing! Honestly it was totally unexpected but we ended up loving every bit of it and polished the whole container of dip with our fries. The truffle taste was strong and fragrant, and the creaminess of the mayo just tied everything together well. Would recommend this for all truffle lovers out there.

Oh and I forgot to comment on the fries after raving so much about the sauce 😂 The fries were goooood. Crispy on the outside with substantial amounts of potato on the inside. It was a great accompaniment to the burgers.

There’s quite a bit of seating area in the restaurant but it can be quite crowded during peak periods, due to the hype around it right now. We visited on a weekday early evening and had to queue for about 20minutes or so, before being seated and proceeding to make our orders.

Overall a pleasant experience - this is a place you can consider if you’re at the Somerset area and craving for some good ol classic burgers.

Had to give this a try considering its novelty and appeal of nostalgia. Being a huge fan of malted milk, I enjoyed the drink, but wished that the taste of Horlicks could be stronger or more “gao”. There are perks of a lighter drink though - probably easier to drink and less overwhelming if you were finishing it on your own. Texture wise, it was pretty good. It was smooth and thick, but not icy.

There aren’t many places that offer Horlicks Milkshake - this is the only one I can think of right now (from my limited knowledge). So perhaps it’s worth a try nevertheless for fans of this childhood drink. A sweet blast from the past to accompany your savoury burgers.

Beef Patty was pretty good, and the brioche bun absorbed most of the juices up deliciously. I liked that it was just a no frills cheeseburger, but executed well. Simple but good.

It’s worth a try for burger enthuasiasts, and its convenient location doesn’t give you many excuses not to give it a shot. I wouldn’t mind coming back again to try their other burgers if I’m around the area.

Went to NBCB 2 weeks ago and ordered their NBCB with a set ($11.90+$4)😇 Really enjoyed the burger as its juicy (but be careful of spillage)😅 Honestly one of the better and affordable cheeseburgers out there so overall ratings 10/10!! Definitely will head back😍

What we ordered: DCB, CCB (+extra chic patty), Horlicks milkshake, Milo Dino (ard $38 bill)

What we liked: the beef patty was good and so are the buttered buns. We also like the CCB secret sauce which was tad spicy and tangy. CCB patty is more like McDonald's McChicken type.

What we didn't like: the DCB meat may not have rested enough after cooking because when we held up the burger, a lot of oil dripped out and it semi hardened on the table when we ended our meal.

Holicks milkshake and Milo dinosaur not gao, didn't have enough Horlicks taste and Milo is very diluted. When we mixed the 2, it tasted better as a Milo milkshake. Not too sweet nor thick.

This may not be much to most people but it's the cheap tasting ketchup and chilli sauce (the kind you get at a kopitiam) that pulls me out of the restaurant experience. Feels like the whole meal and experience would have sufficed at a coffeeshop.

While the acronym might sound rude, but the burger were spot on. The beef patty was done to perfection, while the chicken patty was crispy but not oily.

We opt to make our burger a meal and the fries of the day were chunky fries which we like. Do try out the spicy mayo which goes so well with the fries.
