Pretty neat for a malt puff. Sweet n salty simultaneously, with a hint of Horlicks. $3 for a small puff that literally went "ka-poof" in under a minute and a half 😁😄😋

$12 for 6 pieces cos of groupon deal, the place is really small and the service is soso, the earl grey choux is nice & rich, and theres alot of filling! but eating too much of it isnt a good idea, its small too. Its really rich, i can taste the condensed milk. The matcha is strong which i like. Not bad in my books.

Good choux shell (nicely dried, mildy salted too) and matcha creme, yet somehow.. it didn't hit all the right spots.

Missing their cream puff. Especially the matcha and vanilla! A small bite on its side and the filling will burst out like no others

Hands down to the talented Baker at @neato.100 They were like Xiao long bao style cream puffs. One small bite and the filling flow out like molten lava.

This is the best matcha cream puff I've had by far. Matcha filling was at its best; flowy, oozy, but yet not to the point of dilution -- also not too sweet like most matcha items that have the strong white chocolate taste (that I dislike); retained a strong enough taste of green tea, and most importantly went well with the choux pastry that was light and had the right amount of fluffiness. Might be small for $3.50 but was well worth the price (& calories)

I don't have much to say except I met @neato.100's amazing baker a long time ago for a coffee dessert story in Simply Her. She blew me away with her tart then, and she's still got the magic - exemplified by this pocket-sized puff absolutely FILLED with creamy, sweet custard with a hint of matcha bitterness to bring you to a state of poignant bliss. It's like that feeling you get when you watch a Studio Gilbi film. My god, it is glorious - all packed into a soft, light shell. I hope she expands her cafe soon! Hahaha! I'm so greedy. Thanks Huanny, can't wait to see what other amazing things come from you.

Having tried their Malted Earl Grey and Malted Milk Custard Puffs in the past, I was keen to try out the Matcha Custard Puff. Just like the other two, the matcha eagerly oozes out as you put a bite into the sturdy puff pastry, revealing a light bittersweet aroma that was pleasant without going all strong and leaving an aftertaste afterwards. For the sheer size of the puff, this is definitely a steal at $3.50 per pop.

Focus not on the ugly fingers, but that luscious matcha custard. So good my tongue's tied. It's more "matcha latte" than "green tea", so it's got a good balance of bitter and sweet.

One cut through the slightly chewy choux pastry will reveal the luscious and decadent filling waiting to burst with its intense flavour. With a sip of Earl Grey tea in between bites of the delectable Chocolate Malt Custard Puff and Matcha Custard Puff, I was impressed and thoroughly enjoyed the sweet oozing treats. The cool chocolate malt custard was nicely balanced, rich yet not overly sweet but my favourite was the Matcha Custard Puff as the smooth matcha custard held a pleasant bitterness and earthy fragrance.

3.5 munchies: Not usually a fan of Earl Grey tea, but I'd gladly have this custard puff for dessert or tea anytime. Lightly crisped on the outside and well-puffed and slightly chewy on the inside, the choux was filled with smooth, luscious custard that exuded citrus and strong floral notes. Had the sweetness of the custard been toned down a little, it'd have been an awesome treat!

Some legit choux here, and so generally filled with luscious, smooth, chocolate malt custard. Decadence at its finest.

A cafe hidden in Burlington square which serves a variety of cakes and pastries to excite your taste buds! Just opposite lasalle and simlim square, it's really convenient to get yourself something great like this dainty Matcha puff!
Explosive cinematic flow of volcanic like cold lava upon cutting open the pastry, it's really appropriate for the hot weather ! It wasn't over the top sweet for me and I really enjoyed it! Though, I find the ratio of the custard to the puff a tad much when I finish the puff with lots of it left.

I saw a video on fb and I tag a chef friend of mine who has been running her own little humble shop selling puffs, pastries and food. Yea, everything done by herself! Very capable girl and she really create this amazing matcha puff and put in her menu! I'm quite skeptical about matcha products. If the chef doesn't do a good job, you can take the powdery after taste. I'm so glad that my friend is skilled and it doesn't have that powdery after taste. Very smooth and the best thing is oozy effect that literally triggers all your senses to life! Hahaha! Thanks @neato.100 for making my dream come true! You have my fullest support! Please follow Neato at Burlington Square for very unpretentious pastries!

New flavour alert!
In addition to the Malted Milk, Chocolate Malt and Earl Grey Custard comes this crowd-pleaser — MATCHAAAAA! 😍😍😍

We got a freshly piped one, so I’m not sure if it’s usually this flow-y, but based on the previous ones I've tried, it’ll definitely ooze. I wish the matcha punch was stronger, but I'm with the super intense kind of matcha camp (think Tsujiri’s matcha soft serve — which some people find overpowering). Regardless, this is my current favourite flavour, followed by the Earl Grey Custard ($3.50) and Malted Milk Puffs ($3).

This was a total mood lifter after the terrible lunch. Was a tad wary of being disappointed, especially noting the hefty $3.50 pricetag. But nope, no regrets. Choux pastry was flawless, and the generous earl grey custard that poured out was decadence at its finest. Smooth, luscious, bursting with the floral fragrance of the tea.

was heighten with anticipation especially after the awesome Malt Custard Puff ($3) I had the other time.

However, I am disappointed to tell you that the Earl Grey had zero attendence/participation in this. We were afraid it was a case of mistaken identity but.... the case remained unsolved with the two puffs tasting like twins 😕

From NEATO situated within the grounds of Geisha Speciality Coffee in Burlington Square. Heard about their oozy woozy Choux puffs and it's seriously addictive! One bite through the puff pastry and the filling really flows non-stop; a rather gao custard of horlicks-meets-salted caramel sort of combination within a buttery and pie-like pastry for it still seemed to have some retained moisture. In the background is the Earl Grey Choux Puff which sadly tasted no different from the Salted Malted Custard Choux Puff which came at $0.50 higher and with earl grey dusting which lacked any form of tea aroma; was wondering if it was a case of mistaken identity during production.
