Don't laugh at the chicken hahaha. Okay you should. The gravies and sauces made the meal still enjoyable though.

always a long queue during lunch, evidently i’m not the only one who likes this stall. Two main noodle options - the pork belly or the honey glazed bbq char siew.

I have tried both, and while i inherently prefer pork belly, the char siew is memorable too. i love the noodles because i’m a carbs person and it is just the right amount of savoury, but the meat (regardless if you get the pork belly or the char siew) is the star of the show here.

run by youngish hawkers, you can tell they take pride in their craft. i’m vaguely aware they sell some low calorie bread and cake options too but damn, the noodles are really good

Dropped by the newly-opened Kyuukei Coffee recently. The cosy interior was tastefully furnished and they even have their own line of merchandise.

Both the 𝗙𝗹𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲 ($5.00) and 𝗜𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 ($5.00) were medium-bodied and tasted pretty good. The 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝗰𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗮 ($4.00) really impressed as its fragrance and crispness complemented the sweet, tangy profile perfectly.

Definitely a spot I’d return to!

($2.50) slightly ex but then I don't want to go beyond $3 for waffles so I just stick to usual flavour such as kaya or plain that I go for. But I usually order got filling if I'm not in mood for plain. So the waffles was slightly hard to chew thru as it's overcooked a bit but the kaya still ok and sweet as got milk and coconut aftertaste.

($8.50) I did saw the cake previously when I go down for plutodays shop lol but my stomach is full with another stuff. I decided to drop by if got chance at nearby. So I did passby partially bc of running errands at there. I decided to try blossom since cny is coming real soon by time I post it out. Blossom like beginning of the spring theme so it just nice to match well with the season. So it's taste like mooncake texture due to the shape lol but still got sour and bitter aftertaste. But overall the cake still got the classic cafe aesthetic vibes inside the mall.

we tried the following flavours:
- pistachio
- goma
- dark chocolate
- salted caramel
- tie guan yin earl grey

all of them had rich flavours, not too sweet but very fragrant. would come back again

Hidden gem in Alexandra Central.

The texture of the soba was on point, but the broth was the highlight. Every slurp was light and clean in flavour, with a subtle smokiness that brings this solid bowl of noodles together. The consistency of the broth reminds me of consommé. It’s not the usual tonkotsu soup base Singaporeans are used to, but it’s good stuff.

Love the moist duck chashu. Even the bamboo shoots are enjoyable. Add on the soy ramen egg for $2. Don’t forget their scallion pancakes ($5.80) as the sides. The crispy, vinegary, and century egg combo somehow work wonders for the palate.

A great place for a quick ramen fix. Best eaten with a cup of osmanthus oolong tea or chilled beer. Skip the IKEA meatballs after shopping for furniture and come here instead.

I usually go to the other laksa stall at Queensway but this opens earlier and satisfies my craving just as well. Small laksa with ham $6 and curry chick with bread/rice $5.50 not sure if the bread was fresh but curry was good and overall good for sharing for 2 pax.
